If Allar is playing like this, PSU might win the whole damn thing. Both TDs were absolute dimes.

I really talked myself into him Being a bust last year. Brutal.

That has nothing to do with my OP, which is that griping about others' success and celebrating someone more successful falling to your level instead of aiming to surpass them by climbing up to theirs is a loser's mentality and should be beneath you guys.
Some advice from a lifelong ND fan that is used to being in this position… instead of being mad, just take the beating.

It’s not your fault that Alabama sucks. It’s not your fault that the program was only good because they 1) had the best coach of all time and 2) played in an era where their conference abused roster rules and paid players blatantly.

Again, it’s not your fault.

He had 192 and 3 TDs against Oregon and last I checked they are the #1 team. Problem right now is Boise is getting dominated on the line on both sides of the ball.
Boise is basically running a version of the BK don't get embarrassed offense.
Run Run Pass Punt and pray for a big play.

You crying and defending a conferences poor performance is pitiful. No one here isnt aiming for anything but a championship, I promise you that. You being butthurt for being called out for your one-sided opinion is showing.
I haven't defended anything about the SEC's performance this year. I've simply pointed out that celebrating when those who are successful fail doesn't lessen your own failures, make you more successful, and is a loser's attitude, not a winner's. I think ND fans should be the latter, not the former.

Why not both? Notre Dame is looking great and the SEC is looking like A$$. It's glorious.

As long as Franklin is the coach the other team has a chance it seems.

13 of the last 18 NC's says that's envy talking. Stop whining and acting hurt by the SEC. It's pathetic. ND is supposed to be bigger than that. Top their success instead of griping about it. Do you want to win because your opponent slowed down or because you got faster?
Every year, the SEC produces a couple of exceptionally talented and dominant teams, and one usually wins it. That’s obvious to anyone who watches college football regularly.

What fans outside the SEC are sick of is the overblown narrative that the entire conference is an impenetrable juggernaut from top to bottom. The idea that a 5 loss, middling SEC team would beat every other team in any other conference by 100 is exhausting. And you know that's the common thought of the SEC fan base. This isn’t about whining over the SEC’s success - it’s about responding to this nonsensical narrative perpetuated by delusional SEC fans, whiny ass coaches like lane and beamer who complain about missing the playoffs despite losing a quarter of their games, and ESPN, a corporation hell bent on fucking up the sport, which has hitched its financial wagon to the SEC and acts as its PR machine.

There’s no denying the accomplishments of Alabama, LSU, and Georgia. They’ve rightfully earned their place at the top. But their greatness hasn't elevated the mediocrity of the rest of the conference.

Bama fans, moreso than any other team within the conference, seem to understand this and I don't think it's lost on you.

Just chill bro.

Thanks, but I'm not mad. Not even particularly bothered by my team's loss today. I wrote this season off several weeks ago and never expected much with a new staff. My OP today is 100% motivated by having a rather high opinion of ND and finding all the glee and celebrating over Bama and the SEC having an off year to be a very bad look. It doesn't hurt my feelings. It disappoints me in you guys. It's what I would expect from fans of a lesser program, not a blueblood. My point can be summed up in a question I asked earlier: do you want to win because your opponent slowed down or because you got faster?
