USC immediately gave up a touchdown to Nevada. Alex Grinch is terrible at his job.

Just for a laugh while we're on the subject of broadcasters and voices... Alabama's longtime radio voice is Eli Gold, who's been our guy for decades. Not everyone knows that Eli is far from being a native Southerner. He's actually, as he puts it, "A Jewish kid from Brooklyn." He often has guest announcers sit in with him, guys who are trying to get into the business or former Bama players. A few years ago, he had a guest announcer for a game and they were discussing food between plays. The guest said something about the large jars of pickled pigs' feet you sometimes see in country stores, and then asked Eli if he'd ever tried them. Deadpan as hell, Eli said, "I'm Jewish." There then was a long stretch of embarrassed, awkward silence. Probably only 5 or 6 seconds, but it seemed like 30. That poor guest announcer!

Georgia will still win easily, but as we near halftime, they look a little bit off and are only up 14-0 against UT-Martin.

Pretty surprised he's still around after last year. Riley seems quote loyal to him, maybe to a fault.

The top four teams (Georgia, Michigan, Bama and Ohio State) all look beatable in today's games. Should be a very interesting season.

Honestly I'm more nervous about USC then OSU or Clemson
Same. Their offense is nuts and the defense has some talent.

At the start of the 3rd, South Carolina had one of the best onside kicks you’ll ever see and promptly did nothing with it.

I’m definitely in the minority b/c I respect Eli’s historic career but I’m not a fan of his voice. Something about it bugs me. Again, I know he’s a legend but just don’t care for his voice.

I get that. I think everyone has an announcer or two that they just don't like for some subjective reason like that... voice, accent, something. I hate Chris Fowler's voice. Even when he's calling a Bama game and drooling over them, he still annoys me to no end. I HATE listening to him.

Bob Ufer was always one of my favorites. ND has never had that kind of hilarious homerism.

James Franklin going for the meaningless touchdown might have won me money.

Baylor lost to Texas St at home. Them winning the Big 12 suddenly seems like a very long time ago. 26.5 pt dog on the road takes them out. Expect the unexpected with Aranda.

I’m shocked that Aranda has fallen so far in just a couple years.

Did anyone see that catch in that game??? It was one of these crazy one handed grabs but the first I’ve seen without gloves,… incredible catch

Franklin window dressing with that last TD lost all/any respect for me. What a hoe bag piece of shit.

I love watching games at Wyoming,… love the feel, the end zone, the colors,… just one of those scenes I’ve always liked

Felt like Aranda was the hot name for a few cycles in a row. He waited too long and ended up with a comparatively shitty job.

Though if he gets the boot I’d replace Golden with him in a heartbeat.
