Given the absolutely horrible job the refs did (equally bad against both teams) in last week's Iron Bowl, I thought the refs in the SECCG did a very good job. They let the guys play, called a fair game for both sides, and I didn't see a single call I thought was just plain bad.

Holy crap! Plummer has made Louisville offense look worse than Iowa’s. It’s shameful that we lost to this suck ass QB. If I was FSU I would try to put up a TD to pad their score.

Lucky fucking Michigan getting to play in a playoff without the 1st and 2nd best teams in the country.

We really missed a golden opportunity this year.

Interesting take. I thought it was pretty awful/favorable to Bama. Terrible non-review of a catch on your TD drive before half. Brutal horse collar call againt UGA. Missed holding all game long and several non calls on clear PI.

Edit: also missed a pretty bad and obvious facemask against Turner on the play that he hurt his arm and left the game for a few plays.

Rodemaker is worth at least 10 more points than Glenn. 2 score win over a tough, well coached Louisville team w 3rd string QB is pretty damn impressive .
Uh, this same Louisville team got blown out by PITT.

Just because they beat us while ND had half their roster on life support doesn't mean anything.

Bama needed a mini Hail Mary last week to beat a shitty Auburn team.
Then they turned around and beat the undefeated two-time defending champs.

FSU needed Riley Leonard to re-injure himself to not lose to Duke at home, and they barely beat a terrible BC squad, and they looked like lukewarm hotdog water against an awful Florida squad. I could go on.

I would put FSU at 5, it is clear they won't be able to handle one of the other playoffs teams.

It's definitely Michigan, Washington, FSU, and Texas. I'll be curious to see if Texas jumps FSU and is #3. I called for Texas or Georgia to win the title at the start of the year but it's looking like skunkbear is a real possibility. Whether they play in the semifinals or NCG we're going to need Texas to beat them

While those coaches and players largely deserve it for the season they had.

It’s obvious this is not one of the 4 best teams. I’m someone that thinks resume should be a meaningful part of the conversation but this is too stark of a difference.

Big whoop. Their big wins are against LSU, Louisville and Clemson. The rest of their schedule is a joke.

Alabama beat Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU and Tennessee, all of which are better wins than Louisville or Clemson.

WHYDFML is a factor as well.
Since we’re not concerned with losses, let’s put Georgia in there as well. They were more impressive than Bama in every game they played against a common opponent.

In a perfect world the NCAA doesn’t allow UM in and vacates their season. The world would be in perfect harmony.
1. Washington
2. Texas
3. Bama
4. Florida State

Then cancel the regular season.

By that logic, ND > Clemson in 2018.

Clemson needed a last minute miracle to edge out Syracuse 27-23. ND blew them out 36-3.

Head-to-head trumps common opponent.

And it's not like Alabama barely skated by their common opponents. They beat Tennessee and Ole Miss by 14.

We wouldn't know who the best teams are then.

If FSU had Travis, then they should be in, but they don't. It sucks, but that's the harsh reality.

If we cancel the regular season, FSU doesn't even get a shot at the playoff in the first place.

And undefeated trumps a team with a loss. Records matter, especially against a Power 5 schedule. FSU earned it by going 13-0.
