This ain't it manAre you autistic?
The original statement was I hope we get him because this board will be insufferable with the complaining impatient / frustrated people
Probably easier to throw money at the ACC's all time leading passer than at a rotational DT from Western Michigan.I love how they know we are offering him $3mil but we don't. I would love nothing more for someone to come out and be like "yep, I paid him $3mil to go to ND." I would jump for joy if it turned out we had people in the shadows throwing fat stacks around.
The $700K number is the On3 "value" which is the product of their made up NIL algorithm rather than based on real income. So the reported $700K Sam made last year is more than what his NFL salary would be if taken in the 6th round. Interesting.
No I actually want to do stuff for myself and not get credit for simply repacking other peoples ideas. It is lazy, congrats.. That account is useless and adds nothing.Shut it . . .It's called an article recap for those not wanting to take the time to read it. It should be obvious to those who have already read it. So, congrats on your reading comprehension of a 4th grader

You may be right. I thought I saw earlier on this thread that his NIL contracts were just over $700K for last year. The $700K number is the On3 "value" which is the product of their made up algorithm, IIRC.
This will basically be the case for anyone past the 3/4 round. That is why I think Brandon Joseph may actually return to ND after that not really being the plan. These "draft grade"come with huge strings attached now.So the reported $700K Sam made last year is more than what his NFL salary would be if taken in the 6th round. Interesting.
Wow, someone is way too invested in getting credit for something. Take a step back brother, you're taking this all a little too personally. No I actually want to do stuff for myself and not get credit for simply repacking other peoples ideas. It is lazy, congrats.. OG poster? I predate that dude (like that matters).. Who really cares about length of time. Just stating it was an obvious tweet and "Prime" is looking for clicks. Useless account, and all I did was post a gif. He made it more by responding to my harmless gif.So you’re making a criticism of a tweet that recapped info about Hartman? Seems like a weird hill to fight on considering most of Twitter is junk. Also, the og poster was just putting it there for recap’s sake. 🤷🏻♂️
Re: Hartman and NIL, stumbled upon this, which is kind of interesting.

NIL Deals of the Week: Sam Hartman signs with Mizzen+Main, Penn State players land Teslas
Athletes from across the country have benefitted from NIL, and now they're using their profits to give back.www.on3.com
He already has a solid portfolio of NIL deals with actual companies you've heard of, and a valuation of $772,000 (no idea how grounded in reality that number is). Now imagine he's quarterback at Notre Dame and not Wake Forest.

Anyone have any idea why Lucky lefty is so down on Hartman? He makes it seem like it's a lazy move by Rees. I don't get it, Hartman seems like he'd be as close to a home run as we could hit at QB in the portal.

I was originally going after the account. Thought that was clear, Bobby took it personally. Was a harmless gif.The original poster of the tweet is what I meant by OG. I don’t necessarily disagree with you about that account, but be more specific about criticizing the tweet. It looked like you were criticizing the poster.
I loved Hudson Card as well. The fact that Malik loved him has me second guessing myself now.Malik loves Hudson Card. He even wanted Jeff Sims.
He’s also really small. But if he shows he can lead ND to the playoff and look great with a competent O line, he could overcome that to a degree.I'm surprised Hartman would only have a 6-7th round draft grade considering how well he played at Wake, but I know they run that slow-mesh system that relies heavily on misdirection and doesn't exactly translate to the NFL. Still, thought he'd be a 3-5 round talent.
Makes sense to head to a place like ND with a solid OL, pro-spread offensive style where he has the potential to greatly improve his stock while making some NIL money once he gets here.
I'm going to be nervous until a formal announcement is made, though. Just worried that over the course of the next week, he'll be getting some serious offers of up front cash, though this doesn't seem like a money grab from Hartman. Just hoping to hear something sooner rather than later.
The only reason I could really point to is the vast differences in the systems. That slow mesh stuff relies on a ton of motion and misdirection. From my understanding, those style of offenses are much more scripted whereas Rees' system you have to be able to read a defense pre and post-snap and improvise, make good decisions. But I think Hartman will be fine, you don't put up those kind of numbers by mistake. He's a vet, great pocket poise, etc. He should be able to pick apart defenses with a solid OL and clean pocket.Anyone have any idea why Lucky lefty is so down on Hartman? He makes it seem like it's a lazy move by Rees. I don't get it, Hartman seems like he'd be as close to a home run as we could hit at QB in the portal.

Watching his highlights, Hartman does remind me of Book, but can throw the ball better more consistently. Book was better at running. Is this accurate?
Probably because he's an average-sized white guy that doesn't have any traits that stand out.
From what I remember, Malik was critical of Ian Book, and I KNOW he was way down on Drew Pyne this year. He probably sees Hartman as more of the same, despite Hartman's track record.
Malik wants a true dual-threat, difference-maker at QB for ND. As if they grow on trees and are easy to develop.
My only concern in watching some of his highlights is he does seem to be moving his feet a lot when making throws. There aren't a ton of highlights of him simply dropping back - panting his feet - and throwing a bullet. His accuracy is fantastic even with the feet moving so much so it is just a minor concern but still there.Watching his highlights, Hartman does remind me of Book, but can throw the ball better more consistently.
