It seems like Pratt and Card and Leary are all going to have some nice NIL offers. This is going to get hairy.
Felt the same when reading this morning. Not the slightest idea on who it could be.Trying to read between the lines, it sounds like there is an unnamed candidate (i.e. not Pratt) who is playing in a bowl game and so isn't in the portal yet. I would guess it's another guy in a similar situation as Pratt but doesn't want their name out there yet.
Not trying to troll at all. Just saying the QB situation has been a concern. You are approaching Troll/ignore territory. I hope you aren't as miserable in your daily life as you are on here. If you are, I feel sorry for you. Try saying something positive, you know... to mix it up a bit. This shouldn't be hard.
Sometimes you can be really intellectually dishonest. Is this not still the 2023 transfer QB thread? In that context Iowa has done well for themselves.I mean they lost one of the best players on the team. Multiple WRs. Sure they landed an average QB and a TE that somethings seems off about. They always have good TEs.
If would be like if we landed Card and All but lost Sneed, Styles and Thomas. Going well!
By Iowa standards it was a home runGot it, you view Iowa getting McNamara as things going well for them, whereas I feel like he isn't good, so I wouldn't say it's going well for them.

I stand corrected, my apologies. I went to their reddit board to see the responses with him announcing it. They were overjoyed.By Iowa standards it was a home run

Has it?? Seems like there have been enough information supporting him doing so multiple times. I would say it’s unclear at best whether he fixates too much on a single guy to a fault…He recruited multiple QBs the entirety of this cycle outside a few month period when Dante Moore silently committed. Even then, he was pushing for Carr at the same time. The putting eggs in one basket thing is a myth that has been disproven.
Where have we seen this before? Hmmm...

It's best to temper the expectations at the first bit of news on a kid instead of thinking he's headed to ND because some writer mentioned he has interest. ND might be a good fit, but another school might be a better fit or be offering more.Shocking that this is turning into a circus.

“But the way this name, image and likeness market is working, in some cases with guys with eligibility left, they might have an opportunity to make more money by going to another school for a year then by going to the NFL,” Clawson said per Demon Deacon Digest. “In that case, we couldn’t fault them. Whatever decision Sam makes, we support him. I think right now his intention is to go to the NFL, but when the bowl game is over, if there is some incredible offer for him to go to another school and get life-changing money, how could we fault him for that. It’s a good problem to have. He’s going to have many good options.”![]()
2023 Transfer Portal: The latest buzz on the top available QBs
A number of schools are trying to replenish their quarterback room for the 2023 season and the transfer portal will provide huge relief.247sports.com
But this thread (and the subsequent post I was quoting) wasn't considering everything. It was in the context of QBs. Just admit you misunderstood the context of the conversation and move along to your next disagreement...Lol considering everything instead of the context you want it to be in. Yeah super dishonest. You’re exactly right in the prism of context you want to be right in man, congrats.
I’d pump the breaks on Hartman due to the offensive system they run at Wake Forest being so specific and idiosyncratic with that slow mesh concept.Hartman would be a gamechanger. I don't know if ND has the stomach to pay him enough though.
That is a valid point but his ability to make quick and correct reads and make all the throws is a transferrable skill to any offense.I’d pump the breaks on Hartman due to the offensive system they run at Wake Forest being so specific and idiosyncratic with that slow mesh concept.
Touché. I watched some of his highlights. You definitely have a point. That is a valid point but his ability to make quick and correct reads and make all the throws is a transferrable skill to any offense.
I assume ND not being mentioned with any of the above must mean that Tommy has locked in on getting Bruce Young to come to South Bend for his final year…Kentucky is targeting Leary and hes visiting this weekend
McCall is visiting Auburn
Nick Evers visited Wisconsin
Armstrong visiting Wisconsin and Okie State
BYU is interested in Slovis and Pyne

What we're hearing inside CFB's transfer portal market
Here’s an early look at this year’s market, based on conversations with coaches, recruiting staffers and players from around the country.theathletic.com
So lets go ahead and guess on who that it is.![]()
Should Notre Dame worry about late fade in '23 recruiting rankings?
The early signing period is less than a week away, and Notre Dame’s recruiting class may lose another star. Now what?theathletic.com
Pete gets a question on transfer QB options. Doubles down that he believes ND's guy is not in the portal yet and will play in a bowl game before making the decision to enter.
Gotta be HartmanSo lets go ahead and guess on who that it is.
There was a question from Frank R. about quarterback preferences among Hudson Card, Brennan Armstrong and Grayson McCall. I think it will be none of the above.
Based on what Clawson said, Hartman is looking to get paid.Gotta be Hartman
Nah. Going to get a bag upfront.Gotta be Hartman
Yeah I posted this somewhere earlier but Clawson literally said Hartman will make more money through NIL than by going pro this year, and who can blame him for taking it.Nah. Going to get a bag upfront.
