Not really? He got played by Moore. Minchey is good but they should’ve ended up with Vazzina or Arnold. Credit for getting Card.
I may be in the minority, but I'm not all that high on Vizzina. Don't get me wrong, I would've taken him if he wanted to commit before Minchey flipped, but I don't think he's as good as his ranking would indicate.

I appreciate your opinion, but I think you are wrong. IMO, he is the best of the bunch.

The BK Boogeyman excuse is old. It's absurd to think the OC/QB Coach has zero input on recruiting.
It's absurd to think that Kelly and Long would give a green position coach any sort of agency to pick his own QB, when they run the offensive recruiting room.

Anyone who knows how recruiting works, understands it’s a collaborative effort. It starts bottom up, not top down.
That is insanely wrong.

Recruiting all starts with the man in charge. It's why ND consistently fell short on high level recruits, because the man in charge didn't put in the effort, and didn't have a well-organized recruiting strategy. That trickles down. Not the other way around.

And Angelli? He’s pretty mediocre but they still kept him after Kelly bolted.
He's also a true freshman. Unless you're a generational talent like Trevor Lawrence you're not starting as a freshman. ND also honors their offers, which is commendable. Angeli got time before you can throw his carcass to the curb.

Everyone is talking like Carr is already on campus. The second he didn’t reclassify his commitment was in jeopardy. The cash offers haven’t even started yet and his signing day is a very very long time away.

How many visits has Carr taken to other campus'? CJ Carr would certainly risk his families rep for a few extra bucks, checks out.

To be fair, if ND adds Card and he does well, as well as Minchey hitting his ceiling, why would Carr still come? Rhetorical question. Too many variables prior to him setting foot on campus but the moment he didn’t re-classify, his commitment was definitely tossed back up in the air.

I suspect he thinks he’s better than both of those guys. And he wasn’t afraid of competing with Moore when he was committed. I don’t think the depth chart will scare him off. This kid carries himself like he has as much confidence as he does talent.

It’s the kind of problem you want ND to have so here’s to hoping one of the three hit their ceiling.

The only issue MF and TR are responsible for is clearly not getting a Transfer QB last season. That was the costly mistake.

His hs film is very average. It drove me insane listening to all the people demanding that he start, he’s not any good.

Minchey is good but Vazzina and Arnold are a tier above him.
Arnold and Moore are deserving of their 5* status. Vizzina seems like a total wild card. Would rather have Minchey and not all that close.

And the Asst coaches have to do their fuckin job and not recruit scrubs like Pyne, Clark and Angeli
Lots of criticisms of Steve Angeli just before he could take his first meaningful snaps here. I sure hope he doesn’t make IE’s best and brightest look like silly.

I'm conflicted with Angeli. My initial thoughts were that he's nothing special - maybe slightly better than Pyne, but the other part of me has very high expectations given that he was identified early on as a must-get at QB in the 2022 class.

Not trying to be mean here. What do you base this off of? High school tape, rankings, blue/gold game, or what you see in public practices?

Being slightly better than Pyne? Pretty much just on what I watched from his HS tape and what I've read from folks who cover ND recruiting. Basically a quality game manager but not someone who will take you to a CFP appearance or win a title.
