I think it indicates that ND isn't really asking Pyne to do a ton. Which is fine, he's doing exactly what CTR is asking of him, and he's doing it well.

Those aren't the only 2 reasons. Could also be that throwing to Mayer is a preferred option over tossing a go route to Lenzy.

That isn’t it. In fact, Mayer was targeted on average deeper than both Lenzy and Styles last week.

Usually that low of an average throw just more screens, quick passes than deep passes. Throwing that short is mainly scheme. Again not really a good or bad thing it just is.

That supports my statement, it doesn't refute it. They don't have players they trust to get open on those routes or make those plays. If he had Egbuka and Marvin Harrison Jr guarantee you his adot would be higher.

Okay yes personnel wraps into that too. But personnel didn’t change from UNC to BYU game. Silly debate, somewhat two ships at this point regardless as we’re disconnected from the original slight or not of Pyne.

ESPN and 247 updated their rankings today. ND has 15 in the ESPN 300 currently. Jeremiyah Love is 92 which would make 16. Peyton Bowen all the way up to 14 ahead of Keeley.

On Wednesday, 247Sports updated its class of 2023 rankings. There was some movement as it pertains to Notre Dame commits and targets. Here is a breakdown of how things look as of today.

For 247, Ben Minich is up to 210, Dylan Edwards 234, and the most egregious of them all, Adon Shuler not ranked. The disrespect for Shuler is nearly more disrespectful than Vernon's rankings.

Minich > Shuler is wild to me. If Shuler was at Don Bosco / Bergen Catholic he'd be a borderline top 100 recruit.

Idk what to think about Vernon, don't think he is posting senior year highlights? His junior year (yes injured) was not impressive so not sure I can really complain there. Shuler not ranked is laughable. Drayk Bowen as low as he is also laughable.

I’d be glad to be proven wrong but Minich is extremely overrated IMO. Track time usage is out of hand. I don’t believe ND would agree with Shuler vs Minich rating.

Based on the consistency of the drops nearly across the board, I'd imagine it's because there were some consistent bumps across the board for uncommitted guys moving up.

It hurts ND more since they don't have a bunch of 5-star guys, but doesn't seem like the usual suspicious rankings activity (where ND has guys dropping even after dominating a camp circuit, and has other guys dropping for NOT being in the camp circuit).

Though I do wonder if Keeley would've gotten that +1 had he stuck with the ND commitment... I'd bet he would've dropped into the teens if he were still an Irish verbal.

I see Edward's as a 5* prospect. I get they will limit his ranking because of size and how that projects to the NFL, but there's not another player in high school that matches his speed, shiftyness, balance, and vision.

He's going to go down to the UA bowl though and embarrass everyone.

I think Shaun Davis and Ryan Roberts said that he might still attend the Clemson game. As for ND's chances, probably very slim. He's been honest about NIL being important to him, which is why I think he ends up at UGA or Miami.

He had planned an OV to the Clemson I believe since late spring, early summer.

Singer just posted a tidbit on the on3 board that M'Pemba cancelled his OV. The recruitment is likely over. He was high on ND last fall and into the spring, but I think he realized that he can profit immensely off of NIL and went more towards other programs.

I'd be disappointed because that would mean ND doesn't like where Spindler, Coogan, Schrauth and Kristofic are at. Between those 4, you should get 2 quality guard prospects to replace Patterson and Lugg. May not replicate Patterson, but they should be able to replace or even upgrade Lugg's spot.

M’Pemba got NIL’d. He really liked Freeman but then put ND on the back burner when he and people around him realized how much money he could make signing somewhere else.
