Agree. He definitely looks the most polished. Collins appears to have some potential. His throwing motion on some of the deep balls was pretty long but he looks to have quick feet and fairly accurate.
Man, I just really hope Notre Dame doesn't offer and take Brock Glenn when they have the #1 recruiting class. He looks horrendous. I'd really love to hear some more options as it does appear Novosad and Collins are gone.

I was listening to the Rivals ND podcast with Kyle Kelly & Tyler James just now on my run (only listened to the first hour), and a couple things caught my attention.

1) Christian Gray: Kyle says he covered Gray’s recruitment while he worked at the OSU site & was around when he ran the “blazing fast” 40 times at OSU.
Anyways, he built a strong relationship with Gray & Gray told him that LSU was his #1 when they hired Steeples. And he backed out of the ND spring game to go to the LSU one instead because he was going to commit there.
But said it was a blessing in disguise that he actually ended up visiting ND unofficially before the LSU visit when it was real quiet. He was really the only one there & got full attention & saw how ND really was unlike on big visit weekends. That stuck with him on his LSU visits & when he came back for his ND OV he knew immediately he was going to ND. (He committed on Friday first thing).

2) Jason Moore (and Jeremiah Love in context later): Said ND was the clear leader for a long time & the ND staff felt he was theirs to lose going into the OVs.
Coming out of the OV’s it was at best 50/50.
I find it interesting they actually lost ground during the OVs. I will touch on that after…

Love; Said ND was the early leader for Love then the clear leader after Michigan pushed for DB over offense. But after the OVs it is no longer the case. It’s a close recruitment with SEC schools.

ND pushed for both J Moore & Love to OV at the mid-June events.
OSU & Bama both push for recruits to visit at the end up the visit period (thus getting recruits on campus after their competition).
In my opinion OSU won over J Moore by negatively recruiting ND’s DL numbers (better than OSU in the 3 classes) and ND couldn’t respond.
Love said he was in awe of Saban & Bama when he visited after his ND visit. Love told two sites ND is in his top 2. Rumblings are the other school is Bama & that visit stopped him from committing to ND & they are the mystery second school.

I just personally found it interesting that ND lost ground in both J Moore & Love’s recruitments after the OVs & ND lucked out with Gray changing his visit timeline to initially commit to LSU, that ended up changing his mind for ND.

On Love, he had never visited Bama, A&M etc, of course they tightened it up with a visit, it was never going to end a ND - Michigan battle, it never crossed my mind to even consider it that.

On Gray, I don’t see how turning a canceled visit into a impromptu visit that wins the recruitment was a matter of luck, that sounds like a A+ recruiting win. Gray was like the anti-Dante Moore, he enjoyed visits a lot but tended to come back to earth to ND. Gray could never shake ND. Moore giving the lines about he woke up under the golden dome and then never returning to visit was some baby back BS.

Just lucky in the fact they got him before he went to LSU with nobody else around. He wasn’t at ND with 20 other kids.
Gray mentioned that was what won him over, the alone time with the staff on a quiet weekend.
So lucky in that sense.

So I was under the impression we pulled Irvin’s scholarship
Because the staff was confident in landing 2 running backs love being one they better not miss out

Many people believe we make a decision then create a story that explains why we made that decision. Oftentimes the decisions we make have deeper rooted, subconscious reasons and we create narratives that allow us to keep our egos/reasoning intact. Maybe it had nothing to do with no on else being around, maybe it was a number of things he couldn't consciously surmise. Who knows? Glad we got him and glad it unfolded like it did.

I was under the impression we pulled the scholarship because the staff didn't believe Irvin was someone they wanted on the roster. So even if we end with 1 RB, they'd rather have that roster spot for a BPA.

Seems to me they think GiBran Payne is a better player than Irvin and he effectively took his spot.

I'm no analyst. Just interesting. Who do you like? It sounds to me like Collins and Novosad are out? So Minchey vs Glenn? Again, no expert, but Glenn can't hit the broad side of a barn from what I can see. Minchey appears mediocre, but kind of slow, inaccurate, and inconsistent to me. But his hair cut looks to slightly resemble Dante's, so maybe the staff will go all in on him just because of that. Both leaving a lot to be desired imo. In my view, Brock Glenn looks like a MAC QB

Man, I really need to start thinking about taking my son to some camps. He is a huge ND fan, and I have never thought about him playing in college, let alone D1, until I saw these clips. He can easily move and throw as well as these kids and he is only going into his sophomore year of HS. He is 6'2, 175 and growing. Not slow. Runs about a 4.8. I know that isn't blazing, but he is only going into his sophomore year and lifts hard. What do you think? Should we get a QB coach and go for it?

If you can afford it, if your kid wants to do it, might as well give it a shot!

There has to be at least a small advantage in being a prospect’s final OV. All else is equal, but you get the chance to create a final impression and use the knowledge that you have to recruit against their probable top choice at the time. Happy things worked out with Gray, but also wishing we were the last OVs for Love and J Moore.

Man, I wouldn't even know where to begin, to be honest. Or what the going rate is. We live in Michigan. I think I have read on this board that Devin Gardner is a QB coach, but don't know if I could handle a UM guy, lol. Wasn't Evan Sharpley or some other mid Michigan guy doing QB stuff? Not sure.

So the Tennessee trio and Novosad are the QBs we're looking at. Honestly, that's still a pretty darn good group!

Not 100% committed to the Noles?
Committed to Kenny D before he left for Oregon.

3 HS's in 3 years. Isn't there some data on that?

Just go with the safe play... Nothing beats a Jersey kid who wants to go to ND.

Same HS as Owen Wafle? Or does Jersey have two Hun schools?

If no more people are signed that will at best be a 4-6 class. Probably a 5 but not sure how many other teams are gonna get over 300.

I was saying in another thread but I’m not so sure if ND is under 300 they’d be any worse than 5. NIL has turned out be an equalizer that is distributing some top end talent to everybody but Michigan. No class will come close to what Texas A&M did last year

Just watching these videos and I'm no analyst either but I like Collins and Novosad the best. Seemed like these two did the best, but not impressed with the other three. Too slow or inaccurate.

He’s apparently a potential new name to keep an eye on.

Parson's tape gave me flash backs to Everett Golson's Myrtle Beach highlights. Kid is small but a gamer.

Minchey's tape is really solid. Super poised, accurate, quick decision maker, and has some mobility. A lot like Angeli but maybe a little more physically gifted. A shame we can have him as the 2024 QB and Carr as the 2023 guy.

Novosad and Glenn are probably pipe dreams unfortunately.

Anyone know the name of the guy that balled out at the notre dame camp where Carr was getting all the attention? Might have been '24 but his camp film looked ridiculous

Ryan Pulgisi was regarded as the #2 performer.

I believe that was Adrian Prosse

Posse camped a week earlier and the highlights were not pretty. He’s a big guy but seems to need a ton of work before considering a legit prospect
