I'm sure a lot of us were thinking it. Still something that we probably should have addressed earlier. I'm sure it won't be a problem going forward after what happened.
Yeah - our program should allow zero jewelry moving forward.

But also… when it literally hasn’t been a problem all season, and the refs (supposedly) gave Hannah an explicit ok on it before the start of the game, I can’t fault the coaching stuff too much on this one.

Between this, the two different three point lines in the Texas/NC State game, and a bunch of other issues I’m probably forgetting - NCAAWBB isn’t exactly helping its case in trying to gain viewership/popularity. I say this as a huge proponent of women’s basketball - the product this year has felt shoddy, and when the main storyline going into the end of the elite eight is Caitlin Clark/Angel Reese drama, it sort of diminishes what these women are trying to do. Same with the differing 3 pt lines, and jewelry nonsense, etc etc.

What’s this now?

Not surprising that none of the ND WBB players have declared for the draft. A little surprised no one has come out with a “I’m coming back” message

I actually think the deadline for Westbeld was Monday. Today’s deadline was for players playing in the Elite Eight. I’m guessing she’s coming back or thinking of hitting the portal.

no way you hit the portal and turn down the chance to play with maybe the best backcourt in the nation next if Miles gets back to being what she was before the injury but anything can happen i guess when you think about how many players transfer these days.

ND should be a top 3 team next year. You'll have Hidalgo, Citron, Westbeld, a healthy Oliva Miles, and the Center coming in, bench you'll have Prosper, and Bransford. I think they should explore the transfer portal on a back up big.

Not sure why they only brought in 1 girl in the 2024 class. You have 13 schoarships fill out the roster.

They just didn’t hit on the players they recruited. For instance they were heavy on Zach Randolph’s daughter but she committed to Louisville. You definitely need a transfer big because I can’t imagine Watson is playing next year. Obima is gone. And Nat may be gone too. Might need two transfers if Nat leaves.

Watson was on a podcast in between the ACC conference championship and the start of the NCAA tourney and she alluded to the fact that she was told 8-12 months recovery after surgery.

Hopefully Koval lives up to the hype, and they are able to find another "big" in the portal. Either way, will definitely be another entertaining year to watch.

She was a bit inconsistent this year. But the reality is I could see her not having a lot of playing time next year. You’ve already got a starting 3 of Hidalgo Citron and Miles. If Westbeld is back then a starting 4. I’d imagine Risch and Prosper are first off the bench. If Koval isn’t starting then she’s also first to get off the bench. So she’s probably 8th or so on the depth chart. She’d shoot up and start after next year. But doesn’t look like she wants to be patient. Good luck KK!

Nat Marshall also leaving per her twitter. We're starting next year with a roster as thin as this year's. Better bring in some transfers or we'll have nothing inside except for a true freshman

Will definitely be interesting to see how Ivey does in the portal...which she is going to need to hit extremely hard now!

Lots of speculation out there that it's Azzi Fudd. Had a ton of interest in ND back in the day.
