Chargers job could be open soon. Quite the display last night.

Dan Quinn? Harbaugh?

I think that Belichick is a name to look at for the chargers. He’d fix the defence and could bring in McDaniels as OC. I think he could legit get them to the top of the division next year - the Chiefs aren’t that scary anymore.

Sounds like a hoot.

He'd fill the GM and HC role in one shot.

Harbaugh might be a candidate too

Good point.

I hate Harbaugh (like everyone here), but I think he is a pretty good coach. His personality could bother a bunch of pros, but I think he’ll be successful.

Not a Bears fan, but if their job opens up I think that he’d be a good hire for them. Wouldn’t hurt to go after a guy who has head coach experience, like Harbaugh, after Nagy and Eberflus failed.

harbaugh having more rushing yards than Bo Jackson is the most mind bending stat in sports history to me,… yes, I totally aged myself, don’t care,… Bo is the GOAT

They probably need to go the GM and HC route. That means no Belichick and no Harbaugh most likely.

Ultimately up to the owner if he wants to give control of both roles to one person.

Last night was just another example of how these NFL refs suck ass
Yep, although it is a very difficult job. I understand they can call holding or PI on almost every play but it does feel like they are just guessing half the time.

The whole broadcast was a big huge commercial for Jerry jones and the cowboys I don’t ever remember a team ring of honor ceremony getting live coverage during a half time like that. There was zero chance the Lions were gonna win that game

It's happened many times in multiple sports. He was the coach of what many believe to be the greatest football team ever assembled, the 92-95 Cowboys. That was the last team that could be stacked in that manner because of free agency.
They win 4 in a row if Johnson/Jones doesn't split up and Dallas doesnt get hosed in San Fran in 1994.

Also, because of what transpired between Jones and Johnson, many thought it would never happen.

Man watch an ass kicking by the ravens. They needed to flex their muscles and to do it against the dolphins was awesome.

And the eagles lost. That’s a good day in itself.

I think a big part is the NFL is full of the greatest athletes on the planet and it’s reffed by a bunch of 55+ year old white guys on break from their law practice.
They make an average of $200K for reffing. There’s no reason they can’t make them full time employees.

Ryan Clark calling Sean Payton a thug was the end to 2023 I didn't know I needed. Some of the reactions to Clark saying it....chef's kiss. There's the bonus.

Even as an EIU grad, I really have no use for Sean Payton anymore. Too many stories about what a jag he is and then there is the way he acts for all to see. I'm glad somebody finally called this out in this particular manner. Clark played in the League for 12 years, won a Super Bowl and went to a Pro Bowl. There is some credibility there to go after someone like Payton.

I'm not a huge Russ Wilson fan, but it seems like they're doing him dirty.

So is there real smoke with Vrabel and the Titans parting ways?

Panthers fired general manager Scott Fitterer.
Not at all surprising, his tenure was disastrous for the Panthers. Maybe the best thing you can say about him so far is that the Panthers owner meddled too much in forcing moves.
