Carr for QB 2026!
There's an overwhelming amount of support going out to Chubb tonight on social media, lots of people singing his praises as a player and a person of character. Really sucks, his career might be done. He came back from it once, but he's not 20 anymore.

This was different

Being a copycat league, you can bet teams started practicing that right away.

None better than this one. I still remember watching this game.

Hilarious.

Walter Payton's son takes video of you with one of the world's biggest music stars. Travis Kelce could never have imagined this is where his life would be. LOL.

I want those 8 minutes back.
On a related note, we've got a neighborhood group text going with our resident Chiefs fan. We've been giving him shit the last few weeks, trolling him that Sam Hartman is Taylor's real love interest with pics of her in ND gear, or commenting that this is Kelce's 15 minutes of fame and that Taylor is just looking for new album material.

4 games for this hit…. Wow the NFL should just close up shop. I can see a penalty maybe but 4 games is a straight control move!

I don't know. The guy is falling, it's helmet to helmet, he lowers his helmet. Maybe not 4 games? It's a pretty malicious hit against a defenseless player. I don't know what a fair punishment is. I'd give him more than 1 maybe, but not as many as 4?

He's a repeat offender- already has been ejected twice this season and has an additional unnecessary roughness penalty

The league had to make a statement

I'd be a repeat offender too if I played for the Broncos so I didn't have be out there....especially once the snow starts flying

That's some good context. Didn't know he had been suspended twice before. 4 is probably fair in that case.

Mayer has 10 catches for 129 yards and 0 TDs this year. LaPorta has 41 catches for 421 yards and 4 TDs. Do the Raiders just not know how to use MM?

If Young leaves via FA, Niners get a third round conditional pick.
That is purely dependent upon Young receiving a massive contract in Free Agency and his health has been uhhhhh in question, to put it lightly. This season is exactly what he needed in order to get a big contract because since 2020 these are his stats:

Young 34 games 90 tackles 14 sacks 6 FF

These are the 49ers picks after this trade:

Round 1
Round 2
Round 3 (Compensatory)
Round 3 (Compensatory)
Round 4
Round 4 (via Dallas)
Round 5 (Compensatory)
Round 5 (Compensatory)
Round 6 (Compensatory)
Round 7
Round 7 (via Denver)

They gave up a third rounder with two compensatory picks already in the bag and could get a third. I don't think it is an overpay with the amount of compensatory picks they have to begin with. they're trying to get a Super Bowl while their window remains cracked open.

So to clarify, I think they actually traded a compensatory pick, that's what I'm seeing anyways. It's an overpay for Chase Young's actual value, but it is a good move on their part. NFL teams are now treating the trade deadline like MLB teams, give up a more-valuable asset to go on a run. This is more fun in my opinion.
