UNLV (3-4) at Notre Dame (3-3)
Line: ND -27.5
Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame, IN
Saturday, October 22, 2022
2:30 PM
Peacock (Friendly reminder that this game is NOT on NBC, it is streaming only on Peacock. You must have Peacock Premium, which I believe is $4.99 a month).

Votes are public. Poll closes on Saturday, 10/22 at 1:50PM ET.

For the second time this year, no one got last week's prediction right, shocker. The two worst losses in recent memory for ND, at home, no less, resulted in no correct predictions.

Good luck this week, keeping it brief as my spirit is battered and bruised. Thanks, Tommy.

Go Irish, beat Rebels.

Thank Pyne as well and dropped balls and missed tackles and on and on. This season has been such a cluster of what ifs. ND by 10 in another inconsistent game. They dig deep and find a way Saturday. I’m also battered and broken by the current state of ND football. I was optimistic as fuck.

I voted ND by 1-7 but actually think it'll be 8-14, probably a 10 point win or so. I think it'll be a very close game and ND will kick a FG or score a late TD to put the game away.

ND will look very good against a not good team, but no one sees it because it's on Peacock. Safety blitz blowup in the 3rd quarter for UNLV TD + a botched ND 4th & short attempt on the UNLV 3 makes the score look closer than it did on the field. Scoreboard watchers see a 14pt win and scream "Freeman sucks!". Tommy garglers will see Pyne threw a decent game against a defense just worse than Cal and try to gaslight us into thinking he needs another year (or 3).

This is the first ND game I will be intentionally not watching ever. Last weekend got way too worked up and it's not worth it over something so insignificant. So surely this will be a stress-free whomping.

I'm not paying $5 bucks to watch this ND team play UNLV. But, I think we'll see "good ND/Pyne" and win by 17. Anything less than a 3 score win and...well, I don't really want to contemplate it, but it will be ugly.

You gonna go to your grave super thankful that you saved that $5 bill? lol, I don't get it personally.

ND getting 27 points is free money. They should win but 27 is hilarious.

Peacock is actually a great mobile app too. Especially for the game day thread trolls, you can just pop out the video window on your phone and post at the same time.

Honestly, I like Peacock's catalog and exclusives enough that it's worth the $4.99, even if ND football wasn't included

The Office & Parks and Rec alone do it for me, and they have some other good stuff. I don't frequent Peacock as much as the other platforms but it's nice to have (I have it through Xfinity)

Eh, I am busy anyway and would only be able to watch the first half. I'll just follow on Twitter.

This week we get the pissed off Irish that play with a chip on their shoulder. They beat up a bad UNLV team to the tune of 38-17 and act like it's the Super Bowl, lol. While my sarcasm is evident, my enjoyment for this victory will be as well.

The x factor is 3rd down on both sides of the ball. If we played better on 3rd down there is no doubt that we'd be at least 4-2 right now, possibly 5-1

I don't believe ND covers here. I just don't trust our offense to score enough points; I can see UNLV following Stanford's model of selling out for the run and double/triple teaming Mayer to frustrate ND into another slow start offensively. It will take Pyne some time to adjust to targeting/trusting other guys, hopefully not as late as the Stanford game which took an entire half and then some.

Following the same pattern, ND's defense will look good early but they will give up a long scoring drive, yet again, that brings UNLV back into the game in the second half. ND finally wears down UNLV's front in the fourth quarter and follows Diggs/Estime/Tyree into the endzone twice against a tired Rebel front.

ND 31 - UNLV 14
