They're staying at one of Fertitta's hotels. I'm sure Nicco will be in town for this. Would've been cool if he were still on the team. Talk about having hookups in the Sin City.

Side note: I listened to Irish Illustrated podcast this morning and they casually dropped a BK story about him being out gambling until 3am when they stayed at a casino in Reno for a game. IIRC, they said it was the night before the game.

Huh? What game would they have ever stayed in Reno for? And at a casino?

I'll go back and listen to it again. They said they heard it from a former staffer. I have no clue which game that would've been so maybe I misheard them speak. The Reno thing caught me off guard too so maybe I heard them wrong. Or maybe it wasn't during BK years. I really can't remember.

That article presents a totally different picture of Coach Kelly. Here's the quote:

“I think one of the more interesting ones was, staying in Reno, Nevada, before we played the University of California at Davis when I was a young head coach at Grand Valley State,” said Kelly, beginning his 31st season as a head coach at the NCAA level. “And it really wasn't a great move. We stayed at a casino and not everybody made bed-check and I wasn't too happy about it and sat some guys in the first half and we didn't play very well. So I learned my lessons. Don't stay at a casino and if you're going to do that, make sure you have a more veteran football team.”

You posted a smear job, man. Low blowing. Your words: "BK story about him being out gambling until 3am when they stayed at a casino in Reno for a game. IIRC, they said it was the night before the game." Disgusting.

OMM continuously coming to defend CBK's honor on IE:

Although in this case I wholeheartedly agree that appears to have been blown out of proportion by Irish Illustrated

Calm down, Mike. Good grief. I was simply posting about something the guys at II brought up on their podcast.

Since when is it a smear job to say a grown adult stayed up gambling until 3am regardless of the circumstances, anyways? The context was in regards to where the team was staying and how it's off the beaten path and away from distractions...unlike a time when a BK team stayed at a casino and a staffer said coach was up until 3am gambling.

You need a Snickers.

My prediction about the first quarter against UNC was pretty accurate (for a change), so I'm going with BYU taking an early 3-0 lead on the opening drive. Late in the 1st quarter our lads finally get the TD to take the lead. They build it to 10, then both teams keep trading scores. Irish go up 17 early in the 4th until BYU scores 10 to cut the margin to 7 late. Irish RTDB to seal the deal.

ND 34

BYU 17

Estime and Tyree both rush for TDs and ND wins the turnover battle.
