That video has me hyped up, we need to fast forward a few weeks
I’m hoping we can get Raridon in a Ben Skowronek type role as a big receiver. Maybe even Cane Berrong as a big slot guy if he‘s regained his speed (not that he was super speedy before his injury). There is going to be a need for creativity.
that is a name from the past that i haven't heard in over a decade lol. considered an all world type DB coming out of the Dallas area by some people and yet he got beat sooooooo many times by WRsClarence = Clifford Jefferson
I’d really like to see a 3 or even 4 TE set in certain situations with one in the slot, two out wide and the last inline. Then 5 OL, 1 QB and 1 RB. I think the CBs would soil themselves, it‘d be like 6’5” forwards posting up against 6’ guards on the hardwoods. If the QB can deliver the ball slightly high, I can’t see how that type of set wouldn’t work, especially in shorter to medium type yardage. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it done in relation to a passing play (or I just don’t remember seeing it).Since I'm not greedy enough to say Shark... I'll go Tyler Eifert his Soph year.

Lenzy and Styles definitely have that, Merriweather probably too to a degree. Ultimately, I think the pieces will be there for Buchner to make do with.Height isn't as important as speed. You need a couple guys that can blow the top of the defense to keep them honest. The speed opens up the middle of the field for tight ends and the run game. If you hammer them with the run and a big dose of mayer the receivers have more room to work. It's all tied together but speed really does kill.

I was thinking when ND has a healthy Diggs with Estime, Tyree has to spend more time in the slot with Avery going down. For sure. Tyree has some wheels too and I'm sure he'll be lined up in the slot quite a bit.

What about stats for the games after OSU?1500 yds and 36 TDs
Probably need to take it easy on the little fella
That's a hell of a hit and yes please let's not injure another RB, but also what's that thing he's wearing over his helmet?
I've seen a few clips with guys wearing those. I thought was instead of a helmet. But those were non-contact drills, not flattening a guy. And he's wearing a helmet underneath .

It's a good question, and, Dublin, thank you for the response. As someone who had multiple concussions during my football career, and who was an undergrad at Penn during the Owen Thomas CTE suicide, I'm wondering by what criteria does ND determine that a student-athlete should/must wear them? My brother is a high school coach in North Jersey and we talk frequently about preventing CTE.![]()

Guardian Caps are the leading soft shell helmet cover engineered for impact reduction. Worn by the NFL, 500+ colleges and 5000+ high schools.guardiansports.com
I'd assume it's part of concussion protocol. Like you have to wear a Guardian Cap for X # of practices afterward. It's a good question, and, Dublin, thank you for the response. Just watched as well, this ND is gonna feel a lot different.Just now watching this video - had a busy weekend.
Sign me up for all of this. I'm drunk on the kool-aid
i think for most NFL and college teams its mandatory for every player bar QB, WR, CB, SI'd assume it's part of concussion protocol. Like you have to wear a Guardian Cap for X # of practices afterward.
