Here’s a name that Loy threw out there today. Fun film to watch. Kid can apparently fly. They think he’s going to be a 10.7, or better, 100M guy. Hopefully we position ourselves to take 2 RB’s. I think adding speed to the group is important. This guy has it.

Anyone know if ND's interested in this guy? Ajavon's HS, and listed at 6 foot 8. UVA/Duke offers indicate academics aren't a hurdle. He is from Canada, came to Episcopal to play ball.

I know they looked at him and visited his school, for him. I'm not sure why there hasn't been any further movement but his name doesn't come up anywhere. I would think that he's in that category of high upside OT. But I haven't seen his film so maybe they think he's more Hunter Bivin than Mike McGlinchey.

Didn’t know where to put this but ND coming in at #6 is pretty good. They’ve got a good amount of talent in the pipeline. Recruiting has been solid for ND. Javon McKinley, Isaiah Robertson, Avery Davis, Kevin Austin, Braden Lenzy, Micah Jones, Jordan Johnson and Xavier Watts are all recruited 4-5*’s which is awesome. Obviously not all of them hit but they’ve been getting some talent in there. Hopefully they can keep pushing for some high end recruits like a Colzie or Thornton and they continue to do that in 2022.

Well it's come to this.

Longtime 3* ND Dreamer Ryan Keeler from Nazareth Academy is apparently in the scope with some back & forth follows with Coach Elston

Pretty funny that he was interviewed by Rivals about his Top 5 in an ND shirt and it never came up. lol

He's camped at ND at least once, maybe more.

Film isn't bad. He actually looks like he plays inside a little better in his film. More of a 3 tech. Has decent hands

Didn't watch the film yet but does he have any track.times?

After watching the film he seems to be a good possession WR. I would say he has average speed and good athleticism. He has good route running as well. What sticks out to me is his hands and body control. They are his best traits. His height helps as well on the jump balls, which were about half of his film.

Schweitzer vs Keeler, what are y'alls thoughts?

Obviously the staff has made their pick.

Lol so he was committed to Nebraska for what 5 days.... Is that right? What’s the story here, lifelong ND fan and bad timing on his first commit?

I'd give a fairly significant edge to Schweitzer over Keeler. Better position flexibility and a better chance that he makes an impact as an edge rusher. In HS they put him at MLB to help the team so he has limited film from last year at DE but what he does, he shows a quick first step, nice bend and change of direction which should translate into getting after the QB.

He was committed for about a month.
Idk what I was seeing, but when Crus sent his 247 profile, I thought it said Nebraska Hard Commit 8/11. Now I see he actually committed on 6/11. Still a short time, but I don’t look at it nearly the same knowing that. Thanks for catching that NDIrish.

Looks like ND has locked into Doerer's replacement.

BK started following Josh Bryan right before Will Schweitzer. I lazy followed him after he followed Polian a ways back but I though ND was going to get the kid from Warsaw, IN but completely spaced he was in last year's class.

Bryan is Sailer Kicking's #1 kicker and the first K they have ever assigned a 6*.

Plays at Sierra Canyon which has become a HS factory in football too.

Bryan committed to Colorado on 8/3. His offers mostly service academies and ivy's though

My understanding is they like him well enough, but Bryan really is THAT good. And then the loser inevitably transfers out, so it's really only a scholarship drain for one year.

I thought he was a preferred walk on? Did he get a schollie at some point?

We were saying the same thing about Doerer when they took Leonard. And that worked out pretty well for Doerer. I think it's really just about creating a competitive environment.
