9th currently in the class rankings with the new add.

10th in AVG for those with at least 15 commits.

with NDs OL and the early success of the RBs, will ND be able to land a 2nd RB to this class.

I think they'd take one, if one that was good enough wanted in. However, as of today, it seems like Donovan Edwards is the only option and he's not much of an option.

If you can't get Edwards, I say we feel good about the quality and youthfulness of the current group and go big game hunting in 22'. And, definitely take 2 in that class with one being maybe a smaller APB type guy.

Is Gavin Sawchuk too big to be that smaller APB? I'd love to have him in the class

I think Gavin would be the headliner if we were lucky enough to get him. That kid is really good.

The APB that I have circled is Aidan Laughery (Crus special). 10.7 100 M as a freshman out of IL. It'd be a great way to get a guy in the program without scaring away the bigger fish, so to speak.

Looks like they are trying to flip him.

Trying to flip because of the upcoming "no thanks" that will be given to Ariaba?

Interesting his timeline doesn’t show we previously offered. Unknown how much a recent relationship versus coming in second when a prospect previously commits matters. Not saying it’s moot, but look at Riley. USC wasn’t listed in his final group prior to his commitment to ND.

Looking at Gilliam’s offers makes me more optimistic of a long shot move. Instead of all football factories 247 lists:

Air Force, Cal, Duke, Northwestern, Stanford, Vanderbilt.

In addition to:

Florida, LSU, Michigan, UNC, Penn St, Pitt, Tennessee, Texas, V Tech, etc

Don’t understand why any highly rated defensive recruit would want to play at Oklahoma. Props to their staff.

Finishing with Gilliam and Philip Riley would make this the best class of the Kelly era IMO.

My Day 1 SDE for this class. If you're from VA and chose OU however, I don't get any warm and fuzzy expectations.

From what I read OU wants to add weight and make a 3 tech. Also agreed I do not get them either with him.

For the second time in a week ND offers a RKG from Acadiana just days before he commits to LSU. Weird.

Yea, very weird. I'm not unhappy with the class at all but we have space and recent recruiting has me feeling like they are just wasting time.

Would have been interesting to see how this played out if ND offered last winter when he should've been offered. He committed to Vandy for a reason. That reason plus Catholicism would've made that an ND commitment. The interesting part then is does he stick with ND over LSU's late advance. For some Catholic families, ND is not only a historic national football brand but it's also the Catholic Harvard + a huge source of pride every Sunday at mass.

And let me be on record, if you've read my master list WR board, Bech's been near the top and ahead of Thomas for over a year.

Thought they had said that last week or maybe 2 weeks ago?

Someone at 247 (maybe an OU analyst or someone from the home office) updated his profile today to add the ND offer.

The offer came sometime after Abiara's news broke and when he tweeted this to address the rumors.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="und" dir="ltr">⭕️</p>— “King” Kelvin Gilliam 👑 (@Kelvin_Gilliam2) <a href="https://twitter.com/Kelvin_Gilliam2/status/1321869840097882112?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 29, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

As much as I'd like there to be something here, I'm in full on Doubt It mode until after a 247 or Rivals ND/OU analyst summit says otherwise.

So he's officially interested after ND wins on Saturday, but still ends up staying committed to not playing defense at OU?

Or Kia. Or both.

Recent Wilfong and Loy CB's for Kia.

Wright, Gilliam, and Cardwell have longer roads.

TMA could use positive news first.
