I'm not the guy who said bikes are not off the table ... even with our allies. Ask them how they feel about chicken little.

Saying that you will not rule out using nukes is nowhere even near the same as saying that you WANT to use them.

I would not hesitate to shoot an intruder in my home. That doesn't mean that I am out cruising the streets at night looking for someone to shoot dead.

Doesn't having nukes in the first place equate to nukes are on the table.
Again, tough talk does not equate thoughtless action. I think it would be nice for a change that someone tells our enemies to F off, instead of easing trade policy, or sending them money and weapons to use against us at a later date.

And about our allies. Half of our so called allies are blood sucking POSs that aren't willing to do a damn thing when we, or the world needs them. Stop writing checks and let's see who our true friends are.

Find me another presidential candidate who answered that question with anything but I won't discuss nukes. Maybe he is just stupid ... And maybe he is dangerous. My vote will reflect my opinion on that issue -- and many more crazy things he's said.

Great example kmoose.
I too am more than capable of ending someone that threatens my life, or my loved ones. I pray to God I never have to, because life is precious and I'd never want to live with that.

This is from 2008, but I think it is still pertinent:

Clinton warns Iran of nuke response - msnbc - Countdown with Keith Olbermann | NBC News

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton confirmed Monday that as president she would be willing to use nuclear weapons against Iran if it were to launch a nuclear attack on Israel.

Clinton’s remarks, made in an interview on MSNBC’s “Countdown With Keith Olbermann,” clarified a statement she made last week in a Democratic presidential debate in Philadelphia. In that debate, Clinton, D-N.Y., said an Iranian attack on Israel would bring “massive retaliation,” without defining what the phrase meant.

Three words: Mutually assured destruction. Threatening or even leaving open the suggestion that we would use them is insanely irresponsible and incredibly dangerous. Especially from the same guy who claims he would dispatch of ISIS in short order and views Islam as a threat to America.

So per the above, Hilary is insanely irresponsible and incredibly dangerous.

Again, I'm a Bernie guy. But her response was about retaliation for nuclear strike. Mutually assured destruction. Kind of an accepted world policy for decades.

What was Trump's response about?

For the record, you asked what other candidate had said anything other than they wouldn't talk about nukes. I provided an instance of a former and current candidate talking about using nukes.

I'd also add that while he made a sweeping generalization, there's enough data out there to illustrate Islamic immigration does not lead to peaceful easy assimilation. I do recall someone posting something about sharia law watch groups. Hell, a non-Muslim was just caned in Indonesia under Sharia law. Ask the English about their experiences.

I know it's risky on this board to say "I have Muslim friends"... well I do. I also have Muslims in my family as well. My best friend in college was half SA, half Iraqi. I helped bury my friend Dea in 94 in a traditional Muslim funeral. I say all of this to express I have more experience with the religion, lifestyle, and idealism than most. I can say that while many live peaceful existences here, there is plenty of underlying and fundamental messaging that is less than supportive of coexistence. I love my friends and family, but I am not blind to what I have observed. I'm not going to air it on the board, but if you'd like some real life examples, feel free to PM me.

It shouldn't be. And, honestly, I don't think it is. I have Muslim friends, and they are just like everyone else. Some are very devout, some aren't. Most are somewhere in between. But mostly, they are just worried about getting through life without fvcking things up for their families............... just like 99.9% of the rest of the world.

Sure, because everything we've done the last XX years has worked to improve the NK situation. Come on man. So Trump's going to nuke them and start WW3. Chicken little again.

I take it you haven't read Trump's books, especially the one in 2007 where he talks extensively about revenge on anyone who crosses him. The dude is sick. He's about the last American on earth is want wih a finger near the red button. The dude has the world's biggest ego (seriously, what normal adult refers to himself in the 3rd person like he does, and what secure person feels the need to brag about how smart he is and what schools he went to as much as Trump???), and openly says that when people cross him he hits them 10 x's harder and relishes their pain. He lacks so much in terms of knowledge and nuance that he'd be a fucking DISASTER as president. I can't even imagine him near a nuke when his boy Putin double crosses him and plays him for a sucker.

I don't mean it in that sense. A lot of times people say "I have xxxx friends", and are then pummeled for trying to substantiate their opinions. Most ridicule comes when white people say "I have black friends". I've got them too. lol. I'm proud to be friends, well, with all my friends.

So I'm sure the Don owns many guns. Did he shoot any of those that double crossed him?
You get my point.

Ego, meh... who gives a shit. You don't think Hilldog and Obama have ego. Obama has displayed his ego for all to see. Hilldog... what type of ego does it take to blatantly disregard national security policy (while the secretary of state), lie about it, and then act like she did nothing wrong.

I don't get your point. It's a poor analogy. He'd get arrested for shooting someone; he'd be lauded by his mindless sheep for starting WWWIII with a nuke and wouldn't be arrested. Big difference.

And no one has an ego like Trump. It's not even close. It's why he's so embarrassingly sensitive to any slight, even one so stupid as saying he has small hands. So when this moron sits across from a Communist, one that he shockingly talks up so highly in Putin, and Putin inevitably fucks him over, he'll lose his shit and try and do something over-the-top and stupid in retaliation. It's who he is and just another reason why he is not even close to being fit for President.

So he has restraint enough not to break the law, but will easily kill millions and start the end of the world. Come on.....

Oh the ego is close. The thing that Trump is most guilty of is not being able to effectively filter his brain before it gets to his mouth. Hilldog and Obama are experts at filtering and saying things that people want to hear. Or, they avoid altogether so they do not offend one segment or the other when faced with a non-pc topic that needs to be addressed.

Trump is an idiot, but if you think Hilary is anything but a lying egomaniac herself, you're blindly following the ticket.

Read his book. Then you'll understand what I'm saying. It's unbelievable what he talks about in terms of revenge. And again, breaking the law and going to jail for life is WAY different than legal revenge for a guy like Trump.

And I have no idea what you're talking about with "following the ticket". I never voted for Obama. My ticket has always been the GOP. That is, until they promoted this racist, lying dumbfuck. Now I'm voting for the person that can take down Trump, for the sake of the unity and the future of this country.

You're absolutely right. It was the middle of the night and I used a poor choice of words.
What I meant to say is I was done with the GOP ticket as soon as the VOTERS chose that idiot. When the GOP had no plan to stop him until it was too late, and when the GOP insiders started backing Trump, I was really done with the entire GOP. When a blatant racist sexist buffoon can capture the imagination of your voters, well, it's time for an overhaul.

LA I respect your opinion, but IMO Trump is not the demon seed you make him out to be. I've read exerts of his book and know what you are talking about. I fully agree he is a buffoon and an idiot. I however don't see Hilary as any better. My candidate of choice would be Kasich, but even he IMO is nothing special. Weak sauce.

The bigger thing for me is.... the party system is as f'd up as it can be. The state of politics is sickening. The blindness, ego, corruption, and lack of self awareness (from both sides) is beyond sad. It all needs to be burnt down. The state of the GOP itself was putrid before Trump came along. The dems no better.

What both sides need to take from this atrocity of a primary.... Americans are not happy, and America is divided. If an idiot like Trump can win the nomination, what does that mean. If Hilary is the candidate of choice only because of the Trump alternative, what does that mean.

In reality, we have some big problems as a nation. The budget is a catastrophe. Immigration is out of control. Too many other problems to list as well.... The answers are not always raise taxes (budget), and people are so afraid of losing votes that they are afraid to install any common sense measure around immigration. The party system as it stands today only strives to further divide. Special interests and lobbyers own Washington. It's a joke and it's embarrassing. What's worse though IMO is that people would just rather pick a side, cast their vote, go home, and think nothing more (I'm not saying that is you LA).

I disagree with you on Trump, and slightly on Hillary, but for the most part we agree on everything else. My (wasted) vote on Tuesday will go to Kasich.

Sad thing is, I HATE politicians and have been begging for an outsider, someone wih convictions and not someone who is a robot and a slave to the machine, but someone who could still get things done. And that person turns out to be Trump fml, a man I abhor for about a million reasons and someone who is dividing this country. It's so fucked up - I've never been so angry about politics.

LA you and I are a lot closer in mind than I thought lol.
To clarify, I don't like Trump at all. I do think that Trump in office would burn a lot of the establishment down, and force the parties to rethink everything. It would certainly stimulate a lot of non-pc discussion from the general public that needs to be had.

Sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better. I just don't see our current status quo stimulating any improvement, nor do I see any sensible or moderate candidate gaining support from either side anytime soon.

The party divide is getting wider, and IMO is responsible for the growing divide of the nation. I wish I could envision a viable third party coming into the picture, or a moderate from either side emerging with enough popularity to force the party's hand... I just don't see it.

Burn it down. Burn it all down. Until then, I remain anti-establishment. Supporting either side/party right now is just support for continued divide and failure.

Is he? Not convinced about that. But even so, Trump would have access to a nuke arsenal that NK could only dream about.

You serious? Trump can be a lot of things, but he's nowhere near the level of crazy as that twisted SOB in North Korea.

Trump Love and the Schlonging of American Women

In a Quinnipiac poll conducted between December 16-20, half of those surveyed said they would be embarrassed to have Donald Trump as their president. That means the other half did not indicate embarrassment as their reaction to a Trump presidency. Some 44 percent of Republicans, a plurality, said they would be “proud” to have Trump as the leader of the free world.

If past responses to Trump’s expressions of hostility to anyone who is not a white, able-bodied man are predictive, there are likely more Republicans today who are proud of their frontrunner.

The Quinnipiac survey was taken before Trump said, on Monday night, that Hillary Clinton lost the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination because she was “schlonged” by Barack Obama. And speaking of the December 19 Democratic presidential debate, Trump called attention to Clinton's delay in returning to the podium after the bathroom break allowed the candidates during commercials. (Two points are critical to understanding this assertion: “Schlong” is Yiddish for the male appendage; the women’s room was a much longer walk from the podium than was the men’s room.)

And he didn’t leave it there. “I know where she went,” he said. “It’s disgusting, I don’t want to talk about it.” Got it. A woman using the toilet is “disgusting”; a man whizzing in a urinal is not.

Among murders of women under the age of 50, some 40 percent are killed by their past or current intimate partners. According to the National Network to End Domestic Violence, three women die at the hands of their partners every day in the U.S. And yet Republican lawmakers have been notoriously reluctant to support the Violence Against Women Act, with 138 voting against its renewal in 2013.

But don’t stop with women’s bodies: Let’s look at fundamental discrimination against women, or workplace rules that make it more difficult for them to move up the income ladder.

Pay equity legislation remains a quixotic notion. And the U.S. remains the only wealthy, industrialized nation that does not mandate employers to provide paid family leave. (And we know who still takes care of the most of that family business, right?)

Trump: “If Hillary Clinton were a man, I don’t think she’d get five per cent of the vote. The only thing she’s got going is the woman’s card. The beautiful thing is, women don’t like her.”
