Two years ago I called Arik Gilbert the best football player in the 2018 class. 18 months ago I called him the #1 pick in the XFL draft while Ferrell, Helmholdt & Rivals had no idea who was who in the 2019 class.

It's obvious who the real Godfather is. It's shocking how bad the network types are as a whole, especially considering the money, demand and increasing importance the industry has on college football.

Just an fyi but Mookie Cooper is committing next week and all signs point to OSU. I hope they continue to try and poach Gee Scott Jr. for ND. Also, get Brian Hartline a raise. Guys been a WR coach for 10 months and got the best WR in the country. That’s absurd.

Oh my bad. My post had nothing to do with ur front page. It looks great. Great work! I was just mentioning OSU reeling in the top WR class in the country and ND should poach one for their class cause that’s one of their only positions of need left aside from DB.

he had PR's in the 100m (10.59), the 13th best time in the state and good enough to win the CIF South Meet and a PR in the 200m (21.67).

Henderson is targeting a decision in December.

I was just opening his pages for a profile and re-watching his film.

He reminds me of Clarence Lewis. I like his film a lot. I had him as the #3 uncommitted CB for ND behind Manning & Henderson and I wouldn't even have Manning on the list if it wasn't for the talk of him OVing.

I was concerned with his speed but I just blew up that tweet on the big screen and clocked it at 4.42, 4.43, 4.44, 4.42. So that's quick enough for sure. He doesn't look like a burner on tape and his track times from last season were not what you dream about from a 5-10 CB but he produces at DB and in the return game in the same conference Nana played in.

I like the Lewis comparison. Good length. Good film. Seems like a great fit. Staff been following him for awhile. Also, it looks like he’s run at least a couple 40’s under 4.5.

Antonio Johnson decommitted from Tennessee yesterday after going down to see Elko over the weekend. 247 listing him as warm to only A&M. He's been my #2 safety on the Master List for going on 2 years.

Follows BK and Joseph. Been some follows by ND related media today. Not sure if he's an ND qualifier, his best offer is UVa and well, they've got a juco QB.

I asked the ISD board what they thought. Any word on the other paid sites?

Guessing here, but I'd assume a consensus 4 star that lives within a 5 hour drive from campus has probably been checked in on several times in regards to his academics or ability to play at ND. It is good news that more people from ND are following him cause he's a stud and should fit well into Clark Lea's defense. If academics or other things weren't a factor, then what took so long to get this ball rolling?

So I listened to the Pod Like a Champion Podcast for today and they mentioned some interesting nuggets. They put in a CB for Ramon Henderson to come to ND. Neither analyst seems to like him all that much and basically said ND should be doing better. Then Colin Gamble came up who EJ Holland has seen 20+ times in person and said that he tried to commit to Texas Tech and then camped at TCU with a promise of an offer but it still hasn’t come. Parents want him closer to home but no Texas school wants him other than UTSA right now so he scheduled an OV to ND. If that’s the state of ND DB recruiting coming off of the college football playoff then that’s just plain BAD. Like really bad and something needs to be changed in evaluation process or recruiting cause that’s just not good enough. They did mention that Todd Lyght has drawn rave reviews on the trail by a couple of prospects so they don’t think he’s a bad recruiter but something is just off this cycle. Also, they mentioned they wouldn’t be surprised if ND finished with Gamble and Henderson and called it a day. They also mentioned that finishing the class with 6 straight 3*’s would be disappointing (Bartleson, Brunelle, Offord, and Watts). I’ll say it myself that it would be extremely disappointing. HOWEVER, there’s definitely movement from the staff with some bigger time players whether that be Dontae Manning who just decommitted, Antonio Johnson, or some other guys in the fall that could change schools based on the season, coaching changes, etc. I think before December rolls around ND will have some conversations with some 4 star guys and I think they’ll be a visit or two. Definitely continue to keep an eye on Jalen McMillan who was definitely pressured to commit quickly and may still want to get to ND for a game day OV which he never took. I think Henderson and Gamble are fine placeholders but I do hope ND steps it up for the finish of their class and gets involved with some more big time guys.

I watched his film the other day when looking through some recent staff follows. He is quick, slippery, and has that instant acceleration that makes him look like a video game. I would love to get someone with his physical abilities in the program and just let the coaches fight over ways to use him. Slot, nickel, and probably instantly in the returner competition.
