I'm hesitant because I can't remember the last time we've landed someone from Mississippa.
If 247 is to be believed, we haven't successfully recruited a Mississippi kid this century.

So what you're saying is Offord has yet to be offered? No offer for Offord?
I'll show myself out.
If you're wondering about academics, he has offers from Duke and Vandy so that checks out. I'm hesitant because I can't remember the last time we've landed someone from Mississippa.
It has been proffered that Offord is headed to Oxford(, MS).
At this moment in time, I don't see much benefit in keeping him if it puts a younger player at risk of not being on scholarship and resulting him potentially leaving. Crawford is limited in what positions he can play (slot corner and thats about it).
.
According to Bill Greene, ND is trying to get him on campus for a camp this summer. LOOOVE.
His camp highlights from the Opening / Rivals / UA were SO good. This guy is Khalid Kareem 2.0. The world slept on him for a long time and he's still under recruited.
He was my #2 behind McGregor at DE (Didn't think Botelho was really an option) until I moved Yurosek ahead of him... as that appears to be Plan B if McG Weasels out.
A boss move would be to send Der Panzer to prep school for a year and take Taylor this year. Botelho, McG and Taylor... I am greedy and drunk with success.

if mcgregor commits to michigan does this take his spot?
I would call it a DE class if we don't get McGreggor, and I think the staff may do that.
We have a full DL right now in 2020. SDE, WDE, DT, NT. If you're worried German kid can't play SDE at this level, we took 2 highly rated SDE's last cycle.
I bet (and hope) it's McGregor or shut it down.
aO'Toole's track times are legit.
100m - 10.70
200m - 21.8
Long Jump = 22-6
300m Hurdles = 38.21
6-4/205 w/ a 3.7 GPA looks good too.
Gotta admit, a few of those runs where he squirts out of a hole with a high leg kick sure looks like Shark.
LSU and K State offered today, Arkansas offered yesterday.
Anyone know who is next on the board if ND doesnt land McGregor? Cam large or Yurosek? Another one?

Melton
Large
Yurosek
Maybe in that order? I know Melton is visiting soon I expect him to land at OSU where both his parents went. Large is interesting but I think he is dead set on playing TE. Yurosek is visiting June 21st but Stanford probably leads. So no idea
I don't think it's panic time at all if we miss on McGregor. Staff could just wait on guys till the season starts and maybe going after Craig again? Other names will pop up on the board. Really imporant to get Ivey to visit. Really like him. I think that's why landing Bothelo is arguably the biggest land of the cycle. Maybe him and Tyree 1.A 1. B. I liked the guys we have there but I think Bothelo has all american stuff if he can do it and I trust in Elston over anyone else at drop.
I know currently ND has the top 2 TEs in the land. Say one of them leaves for somewhere else, would Theo Johnson (kid from my town) be an ND target. Currently rated 3rd, not far behind #2.
I don't follow recruiting nor particularly care for it but this is a hometown interest story.

I can’t find the podcast right now if it’s II or BGI but analysts mentioned the staff would probably shut down DLine recruiting if they got McGregor and if they didn’t they still might shut it down anyway except for a high school All American or a best player available situation. Obviously tomorrow will show a lot more clarity but if McGregor commits tomorrow it seems likely that Yurosek and Melton are gonna have their OV’s cancelled which is fine.
After this McGregor shit is all over, I imagine that the other "top targets" would be Clark Phillips and Lathan Ransom at there respective positions. The secondary appears to be the only position group ND is waiting to see what will happen. Have Ransom and Phillips given commit timelines yet?
Ransom is done with his 5 OV’s on June 23rd so likely within a month or so of that. He mentioned before the start of his senior year. Phillips I have no idea and he’s scheduled for 6/1 (Cal) and 6/22 (OSU) and I think wants to do Notre Dame and Oregon this summer so I’d guess a summer decision as well but I’m less sure about him.
ND needs bodies in the secondary. Hopefully Lyght and Joseph are busting their butt.
I don't know about how often coaches are typically on the road from mid-April to end of May with eval period, but I know Todd Lyght and Terry Joseph are scouring the country big time in search of DB's. They've met with countless guys, handed out offers to a boatload of DB's and set up OV's with plenty this summer. To get adequate numbers at DB, ND might be taking 5-6 guys with only 8 likely to return in 2020 and Shaun Crawford and Alohi Gilman not likely to return in 2020. They need lots of bodies in their secondary. Hopefully it'll be a strong haul.
Speaking of track speed, have you seen the vids of Michael Boling in the 100 and anchor leg of the 4x400 relay? That kid would be great to have on the outside going deep. The fact that he accepted a $10K bet from Ted Ginn for a 100 yd dash is gravy.
They've been all over the place looking for DB's. Lyght, Joseph, and Clark Lea have been doing a lot of in-person evals of current or new targets. People just need to be patient with the DB board.
