He put the Mighty Chanticlears in front of the OSU. Lmao. Go ahead son.

Dabo just scratched his butt and then rubbed his finger under tOSU's nose with that vote. He has to know that's major bulletin board material and just doesn't care. Ballsy, cocky, jerky and anus-like all at the same time.

And the Playoff Committee and ESPN are thanking him for giving them something legit to talk about for the two weeks leading up considering there is absolute nothing to discuss in regards to the 4:00 game.

All The Coaches' Ballots

Not much disrespect for ND among Power 5 coaches from what I've seen so far. Moreso for OSU. Only coaches I've seen so far to exclude ND from top 4 from the Power 5 are Scott Frost, and SEC East coaches.

Todd Graham is a C&$T and should have his votes taken away:
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Ohio State
4. Texas A&M
5. Cincinnati
6. Indiana
7. Georgia
8. Oklahoma
9. Notre Dame
10. Coastal Carolina
11. North Carolina
12. Louisiana-Lafayette
13. Florida
14. Miami (Fla.)
15. Brigham Young

Why does Todd Graham have a ballot? I thought he's been out of football after flaming out at Arizona State

I still think we need 8 teams, just so there are some other teams in it and there would be less complaining about P5 teams being left out (all five conference champions, top Go5, and two at larges). Currently, you can probably bet you’ll see Bama, Clemson, and either OU or OSU for sure in any given year. Outside of those, 7 teams have made it. (Bama and Clemson: 6, OSU and OU: 4, ND: 2, LSU, Oregon, UGA, FSU, Mich St, and UW: 1). Moving to 8 would at least give us some new teams to watch. Going back to the start of the CFP, here is how it would look. Typically, it’s the top ranked through seventh ranked, plus the Go5 make it (if number 7 is left out, I noted it because they’ll be the one complaining):

2014-15
1. Alabama (SEC) vs. 20. Boise St (top Go5)
2. Oregon (PAC) vs. 7. Miss St. (at Large)
3. FSU (ACC) vs. 6. TCU (co B12/at Large)
4. OSU (B1G) vs. 5. Baylor (co B12/at Large)

2015-16
1. Clemson (ACC) vs. 18. Houston (top Go5)
2. Alabama (SEC) vs. 7. OSU (at Large)
3. Mich St. (B1G) vs. 6. Stanford (PAC)
4. OU (B12) vs. 5. Iowa (at Large)

2016-17
1. Alabama (SEC) vs. 15. Western Mich (top Go5)
2. Clemson (ACC) vs. 7. OU (B12)
3. OSU (at Large) vs. 6. UM (at Large)
4. UW (PAC) vs. 5. PSU (B1G)

2017-18
1. Clemson (ACC) vs. 12. UCF (top Go5)
2. OU (B12) vs. 8. USC (PAC)
3. UGA (SEC) vs. 6. Wisconsin (at Large)
4. Alabama (at Large) vs. 5. OSU (B1G)
*7. Auburn gets left out.

2018-19
1. Alabama (SEC) vs. 9. UW (PAC)
2. Clemson (ACC) vs. 8. UCF (Top Go5)
3. ND (at Large) vs. 6. OSU (B1G)
4. OU (B12) vs. 5. UGA (at Large)
*7. UM gets left out.

2019-20
1. LSU (SEC) vs. 17. Memphis (top Go5)
2. OSU (B1G) vs. 7. Baylor (at Large)
3. Clemson (ACC) vs. 6. Oregon (PAC)
4. OU (B12) vs. 5. UGA (at Large)

2020-21
1. Alabama (SEC) vs. 25. Oregon (PAC)
2. Clemson (ACC) vs. 8. Cincy (top Go5)
3. OSU (B1G) vs. 6. OU (B12)
4. ND (at Large) vs. 5. TAMU (at Large)
*7. UF gets left out.

You’d still get the top heavy four, and most of the time, the top 4 or 5 teams would advance, but at least there would be a chance for one of the other schools to pull upsets. Here’s the breakdown:
7: OSU
6: Alabama, Clemson, OU
3: UGA
2: Oregon, Baylor, UW, UCF, ND
1: FSU, TCU, Miss St., Boise St., Mich St., Iowa, Stanford, Houston, PSU, UM, Western Mich, Wisconsin, USC, LSU, Memphis, TAMU, Cincy

So for him, totally on brand.

This season really pulled back the curtain on any illusion that there are reputation based blue blood programs who are going to get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to going to the big games and then there's everyone else.

Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, even Indiana...they're on the outside looking in. At this point, I look forward to chaos. Especially among the Power Five. I'd love for there to be a season soon where everyone just picks each other off and suddenly you're left with a bunch of one loss teams, two loss conference champions and unbeaten G5 teams who have wins over Power Five schools.

The result of the selections won't be any different, but I hope that there is more exposure to the fact that the vast majority of these teams don't have a chance at ever winning a national title and not enough fans of college football realize it. Best you're doing to do is win your conference and get to some secondary bowl to beat a Power Five team that doesn't really want to be there anyway.

And the FCS schools? They settle it with a bracket because there's no money in it.

The NCAA is so feckless & unhelpful that I really wish the P5 would disassociate with them as it pertains to football. They’re like a trade union that has out lived its usefulness.

The commissioner of the AAC was just quoted as saying "why even play the games?"

Basketball is a different animal, but the mid major programs are actually shown respect for winning and punching above their weight.

In recent years all I can recall from the majority of the public is that teams like Utah (before being P5), UCF, Western Michigan, Boise State, Hawaii get laughed at or not taken seriously. In the same breath, they laughed when Pitt and UConn went to BCS bowls with 8 wins.

Urban Meyer came out for an expanded playoff a few days ago. I think it is the right thing from a competitive standpoint and from a branding point of view. They need to revive interest in the sport, especially in the post Covid world that is coming.

Im all for expanding the playoffs but lets be honest, teams like Cinn and BYU wont be very competitive. It will be a halftime win as Im guessing #1 will play #10 and teams like Clemson and Bama will steamroll. It just makes the middle tier more entertaining as that will be where the exciting games will be held.

they can't even get 4 evenly matched teams. G5 having their own playoffs is a much better plan IMO

Thought it was pretty great too. Don't like the narrative that they think ESPN gave ND the fourth spot, when everybody can look at the resumes of both ND and TAMU and the better resume is clearly ND's.

With more teams I look at it like the basketball tourney. Sure there will a few mid tier programs that off a traditional power but in the end the championship game will be 2 o 6 top tier programs every time. That doesn't negate the excitement for me in watching Wichita State down a Kansas every now and then.

Yeah, they could have made "ESPN" be "1 more quality win" or such but that wouldnt be as funny.

You've seen the point spreads for the two upcomings games, I assume.

I think the first year it was interesting but every year since has been the same thing.

We already know that parity is a problem, but the brand is going to suffer. If nobody can beat Alabama, Clemson or Ohio State people will start to lose interest. We have too many streaming options as it is. They don't need any additional reasons for people to be bored with their product.

That SEC Short was great. I died when the Big 10 Leadership stepped in to take the shots for tOSU  The shoe throw was perfect too.

If A&M should be mad at anyone it's B1G and tOSU. They may pass the eye test, but half the games is half the games. They haven't had to deal with the injuries or rigors of a full season, you shouldn't get credit for what you did last year or what your pre-season ranking was.

Yeah, this was an especially good one. You've gotta watch Funnymaine's "How Bama Fans Watched Week * Games" on YouTube. He's a professional standup comedian and puts out a 10 minute video every Sunday during the season. Some of them are pure gold.
