don't we have two of these threads. can we collapse?

How fucking stupid is it that the NFL is fining coaches 100k for not wearing a mask adequately on the sidelines when the coaches are tested as much as the players and they're surrounded by their players who are also not wearing masks. It just seems like a virtue signal to me.

It's incredibly stupid.

The Las Vegas Raiders had a good draft in 2020 overall. Henry Ruggs and Bryan Edwards are both starting WRs. John Simpson, OG, now second string will take over from Richie Incognito, who is 36. Amik Robertson, Nickel back, was surprisingly still available in the fourth round and backs up Lamarcus Joyner.

Damon Arnette, CB is a starter though the choice was considered a head-scratcher with Jeff Gladney, Trevon Diggs, Jaylon Johnson, Kristian Fulton, Noah Igbinoghene, Cameron Danzler still available. Both Diggs and Johnson are starters with Johnson's rating by PFF as one of the highest in the draft class and the highest rated first year CB.

The Raiders, however, gave up on third round choice, Lynn Bowden, Jr., who played WR in 2018 and became Kentucky's QB after four games in 2019 when their first and second string QBs were injured. He had difficulty picking up Gruden's offense with minimal practice and no preseason games. The Raiders were going to try him out at WR or RB.

The Raiders traded Bowden and a sixth round pick to the Dolphins for a fourth round pick. The Raiders had previously sent that fourth round pick to the Dolphins in exchange for Raekwon McMillan, LB and a fifth round pick. McMillan is their second string MLB.

Putting both trades together, the Raiders ended up with McMillan and a fifth rounder. The Dolphins got Bowden and a sixth rounder.

LOL on the shits given...

I really wish this was in Vegas too.

I dislike both coaches, but I really dislike Gruden lol. I really don't like Cam but he played a heck of a game this week. So did Carr. Should be a fun game.

Wonder if the team doctor is a Herbert fan?

I don't think any other HC can get away with looking like this in public.

Imagine Mike Tomlin or Sean McVay showing up to a presser like this. Shits would be given by the media, believe that.

Given we know he can get all the free gear he wants, I'm guessing he either 1) thinks he looks sexy, or 2) is happily F'ing with everyone. Those draft vids of him this year with his dog sitting at the 1980s table were lit.

NFLPA is getting involved, as they should. This doctor will be out of a job.

Damn. These guys are supposed GOOD healthcare.

So many moving parts here. He has cracked ribs and they're giving him an injection to play thorugh that, but in doing so puncture his lung.

My freshman year of college I had a bruised rib and could barely breathe let alone play.

remember Brian Westbrook playing a playoff game for the Eagles with 4 broken ribs, you could barely breath with simple bruising it thats sore. unreal.

Heard on the radio yesterday that there has already been some tension between coach and QB.

Broken/injured ribs are nothing to mess with. Your movement, breathing are severely impaired depending on the severity of the break.

I'm sure if given the choice players will want to play no matter what. Doctors and coaches won't stop them. It isn't worth it. They would just assume release you the next week once they get the reps they need.

Browns May be over 500 after today (there’s still time and it’s the Browns so yeah big maybe)... but having watched all three games... they feel a bit like UTEP. Great that they may have a decent record but my faith in them having a winning season is still very low. They just still don’t look fully the part.

Nick Foles in at QB for Chicago.

And Wentz is just looking ugly this year. Eagles probably wish they still had Foles. Not that I think he's good or anything.

Giants are just bad. Can't keep it close even though SF is missing like 10 guys including their QB, stud TE, both RBs, and several on D.

Yeah, the Falcons, man. Wow.

Green Bay is looking really good. Seattle too. Wilson is just a baller, man.

Nick Foles has entered stage right in Chicago.

Lol @ The Falcons. Can’t hold a lead.

I can't imagine their HC is there at the end of the season. Pitiful.

Nick Foles has entered stage right in Chicago.

I definitely like Nick better than Mitch, but IMO Foles will fade. He's great for some heroics at times, but just is highly inconsistent.

Feeling somewhat the same about the Colts. I'm more optimistic about them than you are the Browns, but some Colts fans are all hyped on their defense. We've played some very bad Os, and still managed to make Minshew look like a all pro and lose to the Jags. And the play calling on both sides of the ball is suspect. Funny enough, we don't play a top 20 offense until we play you guys in a few weeks.

Tonight's game should be a gem. Preview of the AFC championship game, perhaps.

Understanding the Colts D hasn't went against a good O yet, I'm still somewhat high on them. They did what they were supposed to do in games 2 & 3. I think the Jags game was just one of those things where they may have gotten caught up in the "Jags are the worst" talk.

Rivers has looked pretty good and Taylor has some moves. Offense is starting to click. The Bears on the road will be a good test.

Last nights game was pretty good too from a matchup of top teams. But tonight is off the charts.

IDK, we played way too soft in coverage G1, which allowed Minshew to carve us up. It wasn't because the Jags are good, or Minshew is good. We were sitting 7-10 yards back in a lot of sets. It appeared we weren't near as soft zone G2 and G3.

And all three teams have bad OLs. All three teams have bad Os. MN is surprisingly bad, but everyone expected the Jets to continue to be horrid, and Jax to struggle. And the Jets were missing 2 starters on OL, and all 3 of their starting WRs from the beginning of the year.

If we play well vs the Browns, I'll start believing the hype. If we beat the Ravens, sign me up.

I wish they would have let Rivers throw more. We need to develop some of the young WRs. The Jets were a great opportunity to do that and we didn't. And scoring 20 O points on a bad team NYJ team just doesn't make me chest pound.

Overall, just not high on game plans, play calling, or HC, OC, or DC in general. Feels paper tigerish.

Colts defense outscored their opponent's offense 16 to 7 yesterday...two pick sixes and a safety.

Sam Darnold is horrible just like every other USC signal caller to play pro football minus maybe Carson Palmer for a few years.

I'm not a Darnold lover, but his supporting cast sucks. And he was without both OTs yesterday, and all three starting WRs.

But yes, Trojans suck.

Witnessing greatness in Patrick Mahomes. What a player. Having been able to see so many greats over the years, he's the next one.

I have no idea how you defend him. His numbers against the blitz last night were insane. At one point he was 9/11 with 2 TDs.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. They have too many weapons and even a simple check down can turn into a chunk play. If you give him too much time, he will beat you with his legs or find someone open down field.

It's quite scary. Not a team I would feel confident against in a Super Bowl. Have to outscore them, no margin for error offensively when you're playing the Chiefs.
