Duke suspended all spring sports. We need about 10-15 more programs to follow suit and we will be on the bubble come Selection Sunday

Seeing chatter in a few places about giving seniors and extra year of eligibility due to the virus. Geno A being the latest.

Heard some discussion on the Gottleib show as well. Leads to a lot of questions.

1. Do they affect total number of scholarships?
2. Would NCAA allow scholarship exemption for the year if that senior(s) puts you over the limit?
3. How do you determine if they qualify? Does it apply to true seniors and/or 5th year seniors.
4. Would incoming freshmen be happy knowing one of their years of eligibility is basically being taken by a Corona senior? Meaning a coach is probably going to play the senior over the freshman?
5. Do you give the freshmen an extra year?

I think we may have just got all our seniors back for another year. So huge. NCAA granting another year of eligibility. Not sure if it applies to Pfleuger, but I think Mooney for sure will get it.

I haven’t heard for sure if that ruling for been officially granted yet. But yes, it’s looking like it will make it through. There will be a lot of new faces on the team next year. And according to Brey, he isn’t done with the transfers yet.
