If I were the Browns I would be scheming for a way to get Barkley and Chubb. I don't care what you have on DL - getting after opposing QBs is so important you make room for him and draft other needs later. They have so many damn picks I would focus on elite talent #1 with those two lottery selections. By not taking QB, I think they increase the value of their picks - people will be desperate for "their" QB and will move up for them - leaving Browns with the TWO very best non-QB players in the draft.

I wouldn't hate this at all but who plays QB next year? McCarron?

The thought of Chubb and Garrett together is plenty nice.

I'm hearing Browns/Barkley as well at #1, with the Colts taking Chubb at #3 if available. I'd still rather have Q at #3. Luck can't win games on his back all the time.

Agree 100% - With QB hungry folks and Barkley at #1 - I would target the Jets for a trade to get their QB and Q is likely still there at #6. Might be worth the gamble if they do something juicy like adding their 2019 #1 to make it happen. Complete waste not to give Luck a good OL to work with.

WTF - Don't Cleveland fans think QBs will be there next year when they are #1 again? And if you give up on every QB after half a season you will never find your answer. I'd give Kizer another year with a better team (which is why trading down to target Q or McG to upgrade your OL isn't a horrible idea either).

I don't disagree with you really, just trying to stay within reality... I highly doubt Kizer is given the reins this year.

Anyway, Fitz at four is one of the best fits I can remember... it makes so much sense that I'm sure Cleveland will do something else...

Browns should trade a second rounder and fourth next year for Jarvis Landry, package picks for Indy's #1 and take Chubb with Barkley their no 1. Sign Keenum or trade for Foles.

Can't teach speed and heart. I'd have zero problems if the Raiders took him in the second round.

Barkley reminds me of a bigger Reggie Bush, their testing numbers are very similar (except Reggie only ran the 40 at the combine, the rest of his numbers were on Pro day).

I thought Reggie Bush was the surest thing coming out of college. He made whole teams look pedestrian with his cutting ability.

As an organization, you should never take a RB with a top 10-15 pick because the delta between best RB and good RBs that can be snagged in later rounds isn't that high. You have to go for QB, entertain trades by trading back and make a major push for a FA@QB or choose someone you believe is a difference maker defensively.

I'm high on Ronald Jones but I'm not a fan of Darnold either (so I don't hate USC players once they choose to leave). They had more skill than 80% of their opponents and he still made some terrible decisions.

I'd take Rosen over Darnold.

If they are this stupid, again, I'd be furious. There have been times in my adult life where I've paid next to no attention to the NFL outside of certain playoff matches and the Super Bowl... them taking a RB and a project QB when they have two top 4 picks would definitely send me into another, "Fuck it I'm done watching for a while" phase... all the hope that blowing everything to the ground and gaining all these picks and all this cap space over the last few years has built would be blown up instantly.
