I can't see any reason why Big Mike is seen as a lesser prospect than Lane Johnson, who went 4th overall (in admittedly a terribly weak class). He'll go in the first barring injury

What do you mean gross? Good for ND that mocks have them going high first round and will be better when they actually go first round. The guy clearly has some questionable picks shown here but I'm glad to see those 2 projected where they are. No way Barkley goes 16 btw. He'll get tons of hype and will go much higher.

My hunch is who he has the Browns taking

I agree that it sounds good for McGlinchey and Nelson but overall the mock draft is horrible. I mean Baker Mayfield going 11th? Most NFL scouts rate him as a 3rd rounder.

I was referencing who he has the Browns picking. An OT at #1 when you have your choice of Rosen or Darnold? I don't really care for Darnold at this point but i'd still prefer him over an OT.

Will the Browns dip into the QB pool yet again? One year after taking Kizer and giving him zero chance at being successful? What a dreadful place to be drafted if you are a QB.

and the Bears picking a TE in the top ten despite picking up Shareen in this years draft and having Miller? It’s just the writer’s fun opinion. Nothing more.

With Luck out for the rest of the season (you heard it here first), the Colts may move up another spot or two.

Things have been pretty quiet in the draft opinion business so far this year, which gives me the sads, but Todd McShay did release his "updated" top picks yesterday as an Insider article on ESPN.com.

Todd McShay's updated top 32 prospects ranking for 2018 NFL draft - Cornerbacks emerging

Darnold is still at the top spot, and the Notre Dame changes were McGlinchey falling a spot to #17, and Nelson dropping a spot to #21. They didn't move down for their own performance but because Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward jumped from non ranked to #14 in Ohio State's annual DBdraftathon.

That mock draft is the worst ever.

I do like that he has Roquan Smith high. That kid was the best football player on the field for the UGA VS ND game.

I also like this line from the article:

Nelson is the best offensive linemen in the draft.

im not sure how they dont sit him at this point. I was saying they should have made the call the moment they traded for Brissett.

If the Browns hold the top overall and don't take the top QB OR trade down a spot or two and take Barkley the discontent will be palpable.

As it stands today I want no part of anything else.

If we have the #1 pick that means we only won 2 games at most. I'd assume that means Kizer didn't really flash anything to make you believe he's the future. This whole situation is very reminiscent of when the Panthers took Clausen unfortunately.

Curious, how many QB's did he have in the top 32?

Yeah but I still wouldn't give up on Kizer even if Browns have another bad season. 21 year old QB's typically don't have success, especially with a bad team, for a couple of seasons. Realistically a 21 year old QB should be watching from the sidelines for at least a year.

Can't argue that point. Given he has soreness in the shoulder and had a cortisone shot, I wonder if they had him throwing too much?

What exactly is wrong with his shoulder. Is it just tendonitis or something more?

you cant get the colts to say anything about it.

My cousin had the same surgery on both shoulders. neither took him this long to rehab. now he isnt throwing the football around like andrew needs to but he is very active in basketball and has had no follow up issues.

Saw a tweet yesterday that the colts doctors said his current issues are normal and expected. These are the same ones that apparently told Irsay he would be ready week 1 in the offseason, so anyones guess on whats going on is as good as the next.

No offense to ESB, but this mock draft, it’s not great.

Seeing a lot of Browns fans comparing Mayfield to Manziel... I don't think that's fair. My biggest thing with JFF was I never thought he could play in the NFL, mental stuff or no mental stuff (All that just made it worse). He always struck me as a street baller and those types just don't translate to the league.

I think a more apt comparison would be Jameis Winston. They both have shown red flags but both have shown tools and ability it takes to actually play quarterback in the NFL. While I think Mayfield is far from a sure thing he's def not someone I think is a sure disaster waiting to happen as JFF was.
