Good grief. So, in one thread we are complaining about not offering enough players and in another we're making sarcastic comments about offering a player (who is planning a summer visit on his own dime) because we "already know", we won't land him.

I suppose we should just collectively get together and give the ND football staff, a list of 20-22 prospects, that we know will be really good college players, and will commit/sign with ND in February of 2018. Because it sounds pretty easy today.

Haha! If you are talking about me, I am certainly being sarcastic, but I never said we aren't going after enough kids.

I said we need to not slow play kids who want to come and can contribute in order to chase elite kids that aren't likely to come. SEC legacy kids that don't express overwhelming interest in ND certainly fall into that category, but only if we are slow playing other quality TEs while we chase them. Chase them all you want, but just be realistic about it! Chances are he's not coming!

As for the staff's efforts, the Longo revelations have floored me to the point I won't believe anything until I see it. I would never in a million years have believed that ND football was not pushing their athletes in the weight room, and that we were falling behind because of something so obvious. So now I don't assume the obvious!

There had been some yip yap about Jefferies possibly working his way into the picture at DT I guess because of the perceived situation with Mustipher. But all of his CB's save an older one from a UGa guy, are going to Clemson. UGa's Mansell added one this morning and Loy piggybacked him. Safe to say you can close the book when Rusty chimes in for the bad guys.

This is news worthy because it fills one of the spots Clemson needed to fill now that they have Josh Belk and (probably) Jefferies in the fold. This lowers the chance of Clemson offering Jam Franklin which is concerning to some.

I'd guess this is 10% heat check on Bo or purely out of respect to him and 90% a play on his brother Josh who right now is a 6-3 rover and/or QB candidate. He was transferred Matt Corral's back up last season.

Now, they need to quit dragging their feet and offer Mycah Pittman.

That is an absolutely loaded west coast LB class. USC has a commitment from #1, leads for #2, commitment from #3, leads for #4, etc. They are sitting pretty with that group and I think the ND coaches are banking on the fact that USC takes some higher guys on their board and maybe he decommits. Doubtful but worth a try
