Well I'm glad we kicked the tires on that. It would be tough to get Foster away from Blacksburg, but he's a homerun hire if you can poach him.

Concur. That would have been great-although ND did rather well.

I'd like to see how bad the ints are/aren't.

Could be wrong routes, tipped passes, or just play old ugly.

If a wife cheated on a man your response would be: "well I'd like to find out how she ended up on that d!ck. She could have been asleep and fallen off of the bed onto it."

I literally said they could be ugly...lol.

I am rationally skeptical. You just right narratives. Paraphrase me, if you wish.

I respect a fair skeptic. But are you ever skeptical of Wimbush? Or are you still riding high on his late season trajectory?

Do better Koon... Horrible analogy.

In reading both Matt and Mike's ISD practice reports, it does sound like Wimbush was much better today than Saturday, even with the 3 picks. '

Ian was also solid, and went 8 for 10 in 1 on 1s.

That's the best he can do.

I literally said that I would like to know if Brandon's ints were "ok" or ugly, but, now I'm a Brandon fanboy.

Oh I know. It's his thing. Also, Like Lucky said, was he forcing throws in practice because practice? He may have been able to roll out and grab 4 yards, but is sitting in the pocket to improve. Who knows.

Obviously can't say for certain, maybe some of the practice updates will shed some light on it, but they might not even know what he was told before practice. And it's certainly somewhat common with the staff. They've publicly stated it with Golson, Zaire, and Wimbush at different times.

So, was I wrong for being skeptical of Pete's hasty tweet that didn't describe in detail?

No, you can be skeptical. But your skepticism is so unbalanced that no one takes it seriously anymore.

You defend anything and everything people say about Wimbush with your one-sentence wonder responses.

He very well could have been bad, he could have been great, he could have been somewhere inbetween today.. But no one takes you seriously because you're on one side of the plank, 100% of the time.

You do you, I'm just letting you know no one listens when it's one sided.

But you're the one that's one sided... You're the one with one liners that miss, consistently.

It's like you're describing yourself...

None of what you say makes any sense. This is my fault though for engaging. It's like when someone in a position of power gets irked by a common folk.

You're right - or at least think that. I'm moving on.

I’m 100% with you on this. He appears to have a man crush on Sampson who, IMO, is very pro-Book and anti-BW. I think he has said Book has stood out at every practice he attended yet I can’t figure ND any other reporter that says the same thing. Personally I think we can win with either one but Sampson seems to be pushing his own agenda.

Totally agree. Pete Sampson is a scam, the new Loy. Wimbush had 3 INTs, and Book went 8 for 10. How is Wimbush not listed as a stand out!?

Also, Mike, Matt, and Jamie have praised Book's accuracy and consistency in every report I've read.

But agendas, and all - hot take that.

It wouldn't surprise me if some of those INT's are because he's forcing the ball. Similar to what we've been told in the past, coaches want him to hang in their and throw the ball so he can work on his accuracy. Though he struggles with accuracy, he actually doesn't throw a lot of INT's. He's actually quite conservative with regards to that, as he'll either take off and run, or just eat it. INT's haven't been the issue.

In fact, statistically Wimbush has less of a problem with INT's than Book. If you look at INT to TD ratio and INT per attempts or completions.

That's because when he misses, the ball is 5 yards short or high

Thank you.

His articles are great, but his tweets (in particular) are very "click-baity". Sampson (historically) has been my favorite writer. However, it seems that his twitter presence has changed, greatly. He elaborates far less than he used too. He retweets his material constantly. He seems to even get into fewer, friendly, twitter discussions.

He has literally said this camp, "I am not going to make quick judgment calls based on practice throws...don't want to over-analyze" (like what the old Pete would do)...THEN, he goes and tweets about, "IDK if he's the guy..."

He's starting to contradict himself. I'm mildly concerned that these changes are due to his new employer. Again, great articles, but I want him to maintain his calm, poised, voice of reason that he used to carry on social media.

From 8/15 Matt's report: "- Ian Book was throwing the ball well and accurate."

From 8/15 Mike's report: "Still really impressed by the accuracy of both Book and Jurkovec."

Dude, his positives for Brandon mentioned a "TD pass to Wimbush"... WELL, he had at least two more TDs per everyone else's reports. Why could he mention the other TD's and good things? He's forcing it.

You mentioned that Pete is the only one pumping Book. I literally pulled the last 7 practice reports from all of ISD. Everyone highlights Book.

This is like a monkey arguing a lawyer...

I KNOW that Book's camp has been fine. (numerous reporters have also said that Brandon is the guy, and should be the guy).

Pete is not saying that Book should start because he's "that good." He's implying (and misleading readers) that Brandon is struggling that mightily.

He is purposefully stirring the pot. Period. No one else has taken it as far as he has.

No, he's not. Literally Jamie's report from Saturday says if it keeps up like it has, it's going to be hard to imagine Brandon starting vs. Michigan.

This "it's Pete pumping Book and putting Wimbush down" is a flat out ignorant lie.

I'm sorry you don't have access to ISD, but either get it or stop talking like you know what they're saying.

I do have access to ISD.
And I'm done here.

There are people on this sight with good inside information and there are people on this sight who think their opinion is the only right one. Fortunately, for those of us that have been around awhile, we know who falls into which category and it limits the arguments.
