Jarvis Landry should be hired to replace Hugh Jackson at this very moment.

This, combined with the secret Browns QB Clubhouse (which is in an RV), I think the Browns are my second-favorite team now.

Don't even care if they actually turn things around or not , I'm just here for the entertainment (though I think they will turn things around with Mayfield at the helm, as long as they don't totally ruin his development by putting him out there with a team that has stopped giving effort or put him behind a patchwork o-line late in the season or something).

The HOF game is useless, but it'll be the first glimpse of Lamar Jackson, no?

I rarely watch any practice, err preseason games. I'll watch the first couple of series of each Colts game to see the starters, but then I flip it. We get our first glimpse of Q and Luck back from injury tomorrow night.

Did you see the depth chart? Pretty good from a draft perspective. Or scary depending on how you look at it. I posted the depth chart with draftees highlighted in the 2018 Draft thread. Excited about Cain.

I knew there was a thread already when I created mine last week but I couldn't find it anywhere that day... oh well. Thanks for merging.

You think Taylor will start all year, and Hue will actually groom Mayfield?

Or do you think it's inevitable that Mayfield eventually starts if they keep losing?

OR, does he win the job outright in preseason?

Of the three options you present I guess option two is most likely. I think he'll play this year... winning or not. If the defense can come together like some think and the new weapons do make a sizable difference there is a chance Taylor holds all year. Even in that scenario Mayfield will get PT, even if he doesn't start.

Honestly I'll be pretty surprised if they finish with the dregs of the league again... it's really a matter of can they gel quickly or does it take half the season. On paper this isn't a bad team, hell on paper this is a borderline playoff team. We all know it's never as easy as all that with so many new faces and young players at impact positions though.

Yep, I'm excited to see how he does, especially given the reports.

Given the Browns history, they'll throw him to the wolves regardless. lol

I don't believe in Hue Jackson and I think he'll hamstring this team. I believe you'll see a better Browns team but I don't think they break .500, I think 5-6 games sounds about right.

They were talking about this today on local radio. They thought most of the guys were sleeping with the exception of Antonio Callaway who just got popped again by the cops with weed and gun parts/bullets at 3 am Sunday.

GBP tonight should feature quite a few Irish playing a lot of snaps. Greer Martini, Deshone Kizer, and St. Brown all set to fight for the 53 man roster.

First time I've watched a preseason game in a long time. I want to see Luck throw and Q bury somebody. My bold prediction...Colts are going to be in the Super Bowl this year.

Not watching, but just peaked at some of the box scores. Taylor was 5-5 with a TD. Not to shabby either.

Yeah they looked good, running game still looks shite... Bakers numbers were deceiving too.. he did better than his stat line... pretty good start all things considered... have to improve the running game tho.

I'm not a happy camper right now. Was going to slingbox into my mother's cable from ATL to watch Indy, and forgot she changed cable companies (so my slingbox is disco...). And I don't have the patience right now to find it on Kodi. Oh well.

Hope Luck is healed and humming along.

For being preseason, both QBs looked great. A lot better than Eli!
The running game will come if the QBs are on and the play calling is smart.

Yep. That info I read must have been posted late last night. It does suck but the Colts aren't tying their season to a sixth round pick.

Dez Bryant? Kidding.....sort of.

Nah, they have TY and signed Ryan Grant who has been catching everything thrown to him. Definitely weren't tying their season to him, just ...... I thought Cain would be a clear 3 and maybe fight Grant for 2. Shit happens. Cain should not have been a 6th rounder. Most thought he was 2nd or 3rd early. He was such a great bargain.
