With the 7th pick in 2017 NFL Draft the Los Angeles formerly San Diego Chargers select Jabrill Peppers Safety from Michigan.

The Chargers are in desperate need for a safety and wanted to pickup either Adams or Hooker, thinking one of them would be available at 7. Adams went off the board at 3 and Hooker at 6. Chargers backup plan is to get the one elite corner in a very deep corner draft. But, Lattimore went off the board at 5 to the titans. Charges had Sidney Jones from Washington as an elite corner also, before his unfortunate injury at his pro day. Since the draft is deep at corner the Chargers don't want to reach at 7 and get the next best corner, we will wait till the 2nd or 3rd for a corner.

With all that said the Chargers took a player who we think is an elite prospect at the safety position in Peppers. We don't see it as a negative that he played LB to help his team out this past season. we believe it shows he will do whatever it takes to help his team win. Peppers is the alpha of all alpha males and his teammates will follow him.

The Chargers plan on having Peppers start at safety day one. He will also be returning punts for the chargers day one, we expect at least two punt returns for TD's this year from Peppers. Don't be surprised to see Peppers playing RB, slot or WR on offense also...

With the QB market looking so nice in the IE draft so far, the Bengals are reportedly looking to unload both McCarron AND Dalton in exchange for picks, and are now heavily considering drafting Notre Dame's DeShone Kizer at #9.

GM IrishLion is a big believer in the signal caller from Notre Dame, and thinks he could start from day one in the Cincy offense with targets like AJ Green and Tyler Eifert to lean on.
