Whats the criteria that we are basing this on? Top NFL prospects? Or those who will have the best year?

YOON!

Led the '15 team in scoring with 95 points.

82.4% FG Accuracy

He'll move into 4th place on ND's All Time Career FGs by the end of the season in only his 3rd year.

My criterion: Having good-to-great seasons in comparison with others at their positions nationally.

1). Nelson
2). McGlinchey
3). Bars
4). Adams
5). Yoon
6). St. Brown
7). Mustipher
8). ((Wimbush)) ... everything depends on this (or Book)
9). Morgan
10). Martini
11). Tranquill (STAY HEALTHY!!!)
12). DHayes
13). Watkins
14). Kraemer
15). Jones/Williams
16). Smythe
17). Bonner
18). JHayes/Trumbetti
19). Mack (could be way low here, but waiting for a reality check)
20). inseparable hoard of DBacks
21). (as above)
22). (as above)
23). (as above)
24). Boykin (hope that this is REALLY low, but waiting ... )
25). Tillery (believe it when I see it)

To be a little more clear: the above list is not rating our players vs themselves, but against how I feel/hope they'll perform at their positions vs the nation. Example, I'd hope that the first five listings would be at around All-American level.I'm hoping that anyone in the next ten or so would start for nearly any D1 team. ... and possibly all of them.

Although not a projected starter and hopefully not needed for extensive playing time, Ian Book may end up being the most important player on the roster. He may be needed to cover a few series, to finish a game, or to finish the season should Wimbush go down with an injury or be ineffective.

Hopefully, Book has absorbed some of Tommy Rees's understanding of the game and can answer the call if he is needed. Under Kelly the back-up quarterback has often been asked to assume the reins.

Not a bad list. IMO Bars at 5 is high.

Hard to rank guys like Wimbush, D Hayes, Jones Jr.

It seems like everyone is pretty comfortable putting Watkins ahead of Crawford. Does that speak more to confidence in Watkins' skill or to lack of optimism in Crawford's development?

In either case, what are your reasons for putting one ahead of the other?

I just think Watkins can shut down a side of the field at times or has the ability too and Crawford can't because of his size. I also have a hard time with a player who has underwent an ACL surgery and achilles surgery in the last 24 months. You can't tell me he has the same burst and speed as he previously did.

Crawford is a heck of a football player but we need to hide him inside and have him wreak havoc in the slot. You don't see any corners dominate or be great being 5'9 coming off two major injuries.

Bold choice. But I would love it if it happened.

I agree with your top ten, however I would have EQ number 7, Watkins at 6, Alize at 10. Tony Jones I think will shock some people and be our best overall back even if the numbers don't show it, but i would put him at number 9.

Wait you actually agree with my top 10? My man

I forgot about Aliz'e flop him for Crawford.

I have EQ lower because I think there are to many play makers on this team for him to have the numbers he put up last year. Not saying he's going to regress as a player I just think there are a lot of catches to go around.
