Don't know if anyone else was counting, but when we had cut it to 5 (I think it was 67-62 or somewhere around there), we either had an offensive foul, TO or took a really bad shot five straight trips down the floor. At that point I thought we had ran out of gas, but Bonzi's Hail Mary off the board provided that last push to get the job done.

I still think we need a win today to get in, but as I've said before, I hope I'm wrong.

I think ND will have their hands full tonight, you are going up against one of the best teams in college that's well rested and ND is going on their 3rd night playing. I think you will see a close first half but Duke will pull away in the second half. When Duke is playing their best they are the best team but they have some weaknesses

I thought we just had to win 2 but with bubble teams keep winning, I think we need this win now.. To Mercy's point, I don't think Bonzi has the legs to put up the game needed to beat a loaded team like Duke. We either need to shoot 50% from 3's or the second half might be the opposite of last night

I'm a duke basketball fan ND football, I think ND deserves to be in the tourney look at a team like Oklahoma who is a bubble now they just lost yesterday and have lost a lot lately I think ND is a top 25 team when healthy they could be dangerous come tourney time.

You must be very unfamiliar with ND's M.O. this year.

I have a pretty hate-able resume of teams as well, all due to either geography or prior education. I try not to broadcast it too often, however.

Who would have thought Torres was the secret sauce needed to get our offense rolling? Swapping him for Djogo makes so much sense in retrospect - if you have zero offense you better go for max defense/rebounding/screening/energy. He can guard just about anybody from a 2 to a 5 and damn if they don't feed off of him. 6 rebounds in 13 minutes.

Rex Pflueger - 14 points on 5-9 shooting and NINE rebounds. Big game from Rex - Johnny on the spot is his best roll and he seems to have found it again.

Bonzie 36 minutes + Farrell 39 minutes + TJ and Rex 40 minutes = Very troubling! I really don't see how we don't get Mooney some minutes - if the kid hasn't earned it I don't know who has. I think we need the length vs. Duke and he WILL get open looks against their shit zone D. Instead we go small ball for a third of the game with Djogo? I mean that experiment has to be put to rest by now right?

Duke is a zone team b/c they suck at defense - no commitment to that side of the floor from the one and done crowd. We can muscle them in the paint. Would love to see us put Mooney/Geben/Colson on the floor at the same time. They are starting four frosh and a senior - this is where experience pays off. Of their starters - only the Tripper has played Bonzie and Matt. I expect a lot of open shots. We HAVE to shoot better to beat Duke but there is also no doubt we are a better offensive team than the last two games.

End of the day - Duke can suck a bag of dicks. Bagley probably isn't even going to class this semester. F those guys, hard. Expect no help from the stripes - another UNC level mugging by the officials will happen if we leave it close.

Their defense sucks? Since Feb 10th they are the second best defensive team in college, #10 in the nation overall this year. Also lately their starting lineup has been Allen at PG 6'5", Trent SG 6'6", Devaier 6'10", Bagley 6'11", and Carter 6'10. Not sure what they will go with tonight.

Brey can barely keep a Bonzie/Geben package alive...This is full Jumbo package.

Torres is like the guy in high school basketball who looks incredibly awkward on offense and has zero reason to ever touch the ball, but is always slapping his hands on the floor and moving his hands everywhere. It's annoying to watch, but it's so much energy that it's contagious.

DeLaurier may start but he is playing less than half the game- larger point, he is a Sophomore. Very little maturity on the team with your top six players as 4 frosh, 1 soph and a douchebag senior. Especially when you consider Grayson Allen is being labelled most mature.

As tired and beat down as Bonzie looked like last night, I can only imagine what he will look like tonight. He's probably only good for 20 minutes but he will probably play 35.

Unless we hit 3's at a 40% rate, I'm fully prepared for a beat down tonight. I'm just hoping to keep it close.

Not a basketball fan, but this is the time each year where I chime in with commentary on the uniforms.

Holy cow, these blue-and-golds are clean AF. The last I knew, they were wearing those horrible mustard-and-green-script abominations, but I might actually buy one of these new ones.

Absolutely right here. Watching the 2nd half his energy on D and ability to not stop playing as a VT player drove to the basket was vital IMO.

I will give him credit for having pretty good hands and ball handling for someone with zero shooting touch.

Duke lost @ BC, @NCST, @SJU, @UNC, @ VT and home to Virginia. Damn near unbeatable at home - on the road they are 5-6. I know they have been better on neutral sites but not as easy to quickly pull that up. Fact remains - they are a different team outside Cameron. If BC, NCST, VT and SJU can do it there is no reason to think we can't too.

Good comparison. I also think of him in the guy that played football in high school and has no basketball skill whatsoever, but tries 10x harder than anyone else in pick up

Exactly the last guy some Primadonna One and Done wants to play against.

I think Duke's zone completely plays to our advantage. We should be able to slow the game down completely which we need coming off the last two games. If we can avoid turnovers (should be very possible with a veteran team against a zone) and not let Duke get many fast break points, I really think we can keep this close all the way barring an ugly shooting display from 3 by us.

I really think we're better off with this game being played in the 60s not the 70s or 80s but we'll see I guess.

Those are the "Rockne" version. If you do buy one, please no pics. It will be an image that will scar us for life.

Yup I agree we need to shoot really well tonight. I hope our guys slept for atleast 10 hours last night and rest up they need it.

Lunardi has us 2nd first four out and jerry palm has us first in first four out.

I want to believe we are in but I’m starting to feel like we need to win tonight. I hope I’m wrong cause we deserve a bid this team right now is a team that deserves to be in the tourney.

Just play well tonight and if we don’t win Atleast make it a game to show committee we can play with the big boys

As I have said from the start (last month probably) - 20-14 final record and we are firmly on the bubble - probably in. No doubt with a 21-14 (or better) record. If this 14 loss team is not deserving then neither have any previous 14 loss teams.

BTW - Bonzie with nerves at the end on the FT line. Short on first, long on second - you could see it in his body language. Not to mention missing front end of a 1-1 earlier too. For a great FT shooting team we sure do seem to miss a ton of 1-1 front ends - cost us a game or two IMO.
