Between OL, LB, and WR, so much to be determined as to depth chart and who's a 1/2. More uncertainty at who's a 1 at each position within those groups than any other year I remember.

Just wait till we add Demetris's brother....
All I want to say is I love watching Folston run.
Amen brother. Always has reminded me of shady McCoy.
if shady had two concrete blocks stuck on his feet
McCoy was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His nickname is "Shady" and was given to him by his mother. His mother gave him this nickname because of his mood swings where he would one second be happy and laughing and the next second be upset and crying. [Did he wet the bed, have a fascination with lighting fires, and torture small animals? If so, he would have all five indicators covered.]
In 2008, McCoy was selected as a second-team All-American. His 21 rushing touchdowns were third in the nation, only one behind the two leaders. [I can't even . . . This, this isn't even worthy of a quote by Yogi Berra!]
As a freshman, McCoy was the point-man for the "Wildcat offense" which the Pittsburgh Panthers unveiled in a September 2007 game against the Michigan State Spartans. [Poor Sparty! Who won that game?] In the Wildcat offense, McCoy lined up as quarterback in a shotgun formation and took direct snaps from center, [Great technical description for the unwashed masses! Too bad they turned a perfectly good sentence into a clause by ending it with a comma! Is this an example of really bad comma? Will it come back to haunt the author? dshans and I hope so!] A Sporting News article credited him for having one of the "best starts by a freshman running back at Pittsburgh since Tony Dorsett", while the Wildcat offense was criticized. "McCoy might need to be a combination of both Dorsett and Dan Marino for the Panthers to start producing some offense other than through his running." [So, let me get this straight; you're not to high on the '07 Panther offense?] On October 2, 2007, ESPN writer Pat Forde featured McCoy under the "instant impact" section of his column. Forde had this to say, "Pittsburgh. When starting running back LaRod Stephens-Howling got hurt, McCoy stepped in and Wally Pipped him. [Must have hurt LaRod, getting Pipped and all!] McCoy has 503 rushing yards and six touchdowns, averaging six yards a carry."
On November 28, 2012, McCoy was featured in an episode of E:60 titled "The Real McCoy". The interview was done by ESPN reporter Lisa Salters. It details the story of McCoy's high school career and his ankle injury. [Some guys have all the luck!]
In May 2013, McCoy was sued for his alleged actions towards a woman using the alias "Mary Roe" aboard a party bus on the NJ Turnpike. Roe testified that McCoy humiliated her and 15 other women by spraying them with a beverage before ejecting Roe from the vehicle. [Sure it was a beverage? I saw a film like that once. It wasn't a beverage.] McCoy’s attorney Andrew Smith Esq. responded, "There are no criminal charges pending and no probable cause was ever found," stating that the accuser was simply attempting to collect money from McCoy. Roe sued over $50,000 in damages for assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment and negligence. [You call that an impressive charge list? That ain't shit!] It was later revealed through text messages to a friend that "Roe" had never been touched by McCoy. [Thank God!]
In September 2014, McCoy received criticism for leaving a $0.20 tip at the PYT burger restaurant in Philadelphia. However, McCoy claimed the low tip was due to "bad service."[118] The owner responded on September 9, 2014, saying that McCoy had been "verbally abusive" and made "derogatory comments about women." [And this is an issue for a pro football player because?]
McCoy has been a resident of the Marlton section of Evesham Township, New Jersey. [Neat random fact to throw in here.]
Nightclub assault
On February 8, 2016 it was reported that McCoy and a friend had been accused of assaulting two off-duty police officers the previous morning. [Just a couple guys out having some fun!] In the report it states that both officers were hospitalized after the incident that occurred [Apparently, a lot of fun!] around 2:30 a.m. at the Recess Lounge in Philadelphia's Old City district. No arrests were made, but an investigation is ongoing. [Wait a minute, is this where the former Tallahassee Police Chief landed?]
Not sure where to put this, so....
Attended an awards banquet last night at the CFB HoF here in ATL. Had the opportunity to spend some time with Josh Dobbs (UTenn starting QB) and his father before and after the event. When Josh heard that I was an ND fan his eyes lit up and he said he was also a big fan and was good buds with MZ. Said he talks to him regularly, and that MZ was as hungry as ever and was uber positive about this year. I asked him if MZ talked about the QB competition and he more or less said that he did not, and only talked about giving it his best and making everybody better. Makes me an even bigger fan of JD and MZ.
Anyone have insight into the QB comp?
Side note, super impressed with Dobbs. I've known his father for a bit, but this was my first time meeting Josh. He was honored along with Dikembe Mutombo and the VP of OPs for the Braves (who is also an Olympic Speed Skater from the Lake Placid days). Josh was hands down the most articulate and motivational (which is tough to do vs Dikembe). Josh who majors in Aeronautical Engineering (almost a rocket scientist) was so humble and kind, it was hard to connect the on field product with his natural demeanor and personality. Super kid. His parents are A1 and that certainly shows in their son. Certainly a good news SEC story. Can't wait to tailgate with them this year in Knoxville. The fact he's an Irish fan is just icing on the cake.
awesome experience
Wonder why we never went after Dobbs? Seems like a very smart kid, and had offers from Princeton, Harvard, UPenn, and Duke.
if i remember it was because he wanted to do aeronautical engineering. Wasn't he committed to ASU at one point also?
I'll see his father next week and will ask why he chose UT. If I had to guess, it's a combo of his major, football, and his family. UT has a NASA connection is regarded as one of the better schools (GT is highly rated as well) for AE. I'm not sure of Stephanie's condition, but she is confined to a wheel chair with limited movement in her upper extremities. Sweet lady. Father is very humble and soft spoken as well. I don't blame him one bit for wanting to stay close to the family.
He was officially recruited by Bajakian (under Jones, but is now the Tampa Bay Buc's QB coach), but think Kiffin is the one who went after him first and Bajakian sealed the deal. I'm sure Kiffin and Bajakian where both instrumental, but just another reason he may have chosen UT.

Is he a good fit for that position?
