Myers told ISD he might visit Bama, but he might not. Otherwise he has no visits planned. We are clearly high on his list to have already gotten him on campus.

He's built like a senior as a freshman. The kid will be freaky good. He also seems to have a really good head on his shoulders as a youngster.

He really does. It's weird to see ND offer a FR though. I personally am not big on the idea, but I am glad that we are keeping up with the everchanging face that is college football recruiting. As long as we don't offer 8th graders I will be ok.

Another name to keep an eye on is OL Gavin Cupp out of Ohio. Has camped twice already at ND and Heistand was very impressed. Could potentially turn into another recruiting battle with Urbie

Gavin Cupp

needs a lot of work in the classroom.

dad played in the replacement NFL i believe. very small school ohio kid, but his body is big time college ready.

plays 3 sports in high school, all league baseball player, but no future professionally so nothing to worry about.

I would imagine the biggest flag is his competition level, would be surprised if we offered him, but you never know.

i know for a fact he wanted to commit while visiting, but wasn't offered.

ISD Intel today included a nice update on Mullen. Despite his immense athletic talent, he sounds more interested in building a business career in his father's footsteps than a football career. ND would offer so much to this kid. I hopes he takes the offer as seriously as he says he will. There will be a lot of teams coming at him in the next 17 months.

You dont need a commit already. You need to lay down a solid foundation and identify talent well. We are doing that and by having our 2015 class almost sewn up we can begin to focus on 2016. We should be able to land a top qb early and that will translate pretty quickly into a big class.

Feleipe Franks recently visited FSU. He's the QB currently committed to LSU.

'16 QB dominos already getting interesting.

Seems multiple QBs want to be the next Jameis Winston. Here's hoping someone beats Malik Henry to the punch.

2016 QB On ND Radar | Irish Sports Daily
(IT'S FREE)
As it continues to look like Notre Dame will pass at quarterback in the Class of 2015, bringing in a top signal-caller in the Class of 2016 becomes even more crucial for the Irish.
Notre Dame has extended a handful of early offers to 2016 quarterbacks and appears to be in solid shape with at least a few of them, but the Irish are still evaluating other quarterbacks like Sonny Abramson.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder from Pope John XXIII in Sparta, N.J., already has offers from schools like Rutgers, Duke, Virginia, Iowa, Colorado and Syracuse among others.
“It’s great,” he said. “I definitely like staying focused on this season with my team and getting back to the state championship game and winning it. I definitely feel very blessed to have the offers that I have this early.”
A Notre Dame coach stopped by his school during the Evaluation Period and the Irish have continued to show interest.
“He was saying they were interested and would continue recruiting me,” Abramson said of the Irish assistant. “I know they have great tradition. I know it’s a great school. They have a good football program obviously. Those are all things that definitely interest me.”
Abramson would welcome the opportunity to visit Notre Dame at some point in the future to further evaluate the Irish.
“Definitely coaching staff, the environment is always a big thing,” he said. “That’s not just within the football program, that’s the whole school and campus and all of that.”
College scouts have told Abramson they like the package he brings to the position.
“They like my mental aspect, me being able to pick up things in the defense whether it’s changing protection or changing a play,” he said. “A lot of them like my leadership skills. They like my ability to keep plays alive using my feet as well as my arm. They like my arm strength, accuracy is another thing they like.”
Abramson, who has been clocked at 4.8 in the 40-yard dash, believes he could operate in multiple systems at the college level.
“I can really fit in any scheme,” he said. “I’m athletic enough to be in a zone-read type of offense. At the same time, I understand the concepts and can operate in a pro-style offense. Really, I’m somewhat of a hybrid between pro-style and zone-read quarterback.”
He’s already had the chance to visit several schools so far including Boston College, Penn State, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Duke and Stanford among others.
Abramson has a pretty good plan for how he’ll compare his choices in the end.
“There are three main things I look for in a college,” he said. “These are the same things I was looking for when I was making a decision on what high school I was going to attend.
“I want to go somewhere where there’s obviously a good football tradition and good football program. Two, a place where I could excel academically. And three, somewhere where there’s a like-minded locker room.”
