247Sports ranks the 6-foot-5, 190-pound Jurkovec as the nation’s No. 1 dual-threat quarterback and No. 9 player overall. The exciting playmaker passes for 2,560 yards and 20 touchdowns as a sophomore while rushing for another 1,250 yards and 11 scores.
Jurkovec will be joined by Pittsburgh tight end commit Grant Carrigan.
Four-star athlete Michael Dowell is the big name to know heading in for St. Edward. The 2018 recruit’s offer list includes Michigan State and Pittsburgh.

Sat 1:30p EST - Frisco (TX) vs. Frisco Heritage (TX) - ESPNU
Utah fans will be able to get a look at their quarterback commit Jason Shelley as he and his Frisco (Texas) Lone Star teammates take on Frisco (Texas) Heritage at 1:30 pm (EST) on ESPNU.
Shelley is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the nation’s No. 12 dual-threat quarterback. He led Lone Star to the state title game last fall as a junior, throwing for 3,716 yards and 39 touchdowns to go along with another 1,661 yards and 21 rushing scores. He’s a four-year starter with 72 career touchdown passes and 41 rushing scores. His top target is senior Jaylen Dixon, who caught 82 passes for 1,178 yards and 16 touchdowns last season. Iowa State and Syracuse among others have offered.

3pm EST - Littleton Valor Christian (CO) vs Scottsdale Saguaro (AZ) - ESPN
Michigan’s Top247 quarterback commit Dylan McCaffrey and No. 23 Littleton (Colo.) Valor Christian will take on three-time defending state champion No. 24 Saguaro (Ariz.) High at 3 p.m. (EST) on ESPN.
A U.S Army All-American, McCaffrey is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the country’s No. 3 pro-style quarterback. He threw for 2,800 yards and 27 scores to just four interceptions as a junior in winning the state championship. Colorado has offered McCaffrey’s backup, junior quarterback Blake Stenstrom.
McCaffrey’s teammate Noah Elliss ranks as the country’s No. 25 defensive tackle with an offer list that includes Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, UCLA, USC and Utah.
Saguaro’s headlined by four-star safety KJ Jarrell and a trio of Arizona State commits in tight end Jared Poplawski, tight end Kyle Soelle and offensive guard Corey Stephens. The Sun Devils also lead on the 247Sports Crystal Ball for Jarrell.
