Tom Expects ND to add R Jones, A. Jones, ESB, and Ben Edwards.

He thinks the ESB commitment is the most likely.

A. Jones source says he is likely flipping to ND. Mora has increased recruitment of Chris Clark

R. Jones is 50/50 USC and ND. Still torn and will likely commit at All-Star Game

Does he still think we take Edwards after adding Williams today? Or do we think that has more to do with Prentice on the fence academically?

they plan on taking one more safety regardless of the outcome with Prentice

Ron Jones would be huge, but do we have a legit backup option if he doesn't come? Because we really need another RB.

We offered Ke'Shawn Vaughn, but nothing seemed to come of that.

He has very high interest and we're expecting him to visit in January. I think we're still trying to wait out Jones and even Soso for a little longer.

This is pretty impressive...15 players participating in these games. I hope some of the targets "see the light" and jump on board.

That is an impressive recruiting class! Can anyone tell me how the All-Star game selection goes? ARMY started it all. Under Armour has really started matching that talent. Now seems like the Semper-Fi is gaining talent traction as well. Is it more by region now?

not by region...army and ua both select indv's for the most part a year in advance...as they already have a bunch of invites to next years class....it use to just be AA but now with the influence of items they get, UA has started to be the "in" one..semper-fi is a notch below these 2

Thank you for the clarification. I kind of thought the pecking order was ARMY, UA, then Semper-Fi. I think you nailed it saying UA is the new hot game to go to. They must get some better gear...

How big was that bowl game in showing our Running Game to recruits? 51 for 263.

I loved the gameplan and the running stats! However, those run stats need to be more consistent. When BK commits to the run and smash mouth football, he wins. When he starts trying to light up the scoreboard through the air, he doesn't do as well.

I think more impressive was simply we beat an SEC team at it's own game. The fight the team had and the aggressiveness in the trenches on both sides should impresse the recruits the most.

So Loy and Wiltfong did a New Year Eve TV. ESB and Alize are ND. Like posted in Alize's thread Ryan Bartow was told that Alize to ND is a done deal.

Confident with Cronkite but it doesn't seem quite as confident as the above two. We have a more desirable depth chart and those close to him think ND resembles his personality the best. It's basically over for Jones and Soso or at least at this time. We're getting Vaughn to visit in January as Cronkites backup, basically.

ND and 247 were very surprised they missed on Edwards. Staff thought we were in better shape there. He was #1 on the S board and with Harbaugh at UM Kinnell will be staying put. Still hasn't cleared admission but Stanford staff is confident he will. Will still recruit Buncom and Jennings. The next press will be for Justin Reid. Profile fit for ND and we'll he a visit. Apparently he isn't a take for LSU right now and therefore Oklahoma leads. Probably won't have to worry about Stanford here as they'll get Edwards and Buncom. So as of now think of it as OK/ND. Hopefully we can play the academic card with this one. Not sure why, but it seems like we continue to slow play Jennings. The words they use is if the staff wants him they think we get him, don't like that. Just get him, IMO.

ESB - Very confident
Alize - Very confident
Cronkite - confident
Reid - Luke warm
Vaughn and Jennings - TBD

I will say that for all the complaining we do about recruiting, we always seem to get 1-2 absolute studs in January. Whether they stick with us or not is another question but at least we get them in the door.

To ND? No one for sure. Rumor is mayyybe ESB since word is that he is a silent commit but he also wants to take a couple more visits so who knows really. Other than him (and he's not even expected to) I don't think anyone is expected to commit to ND at the All Star games. Just that ESB and Aliz'e Jones are likely to be Irish by signing day.

So Bighead23 posted the other day that ESB is announcing on NSD. Is that true? I'm really hoping he's an all star game decision

Apparently he has an NAD contract decision. Kudos to Lax for calling that awhile ago.

Scout: maybe another OL recruit with Tillery on D. Possible current OL injury as well could affect it.

Are the two high school all star games that will be televised the Under Armour Game and the Army All American Game, televised today and tomorrow, respectively?

SAN ANTONIO - Notre Dame linebacker commitments Josh Barajas and Asmar Bilal headlined the West team defense during Army Bowl practices. Irish Illustrated has clips from the first two days of practice.

Lol @ Barajas throwing his mouth piece at the RB. Great that these guys are building chemistry before they get to ND.
