Will be visiting a lot of places this summer and would like to get to Oregon and ND but doesn't know if he'll be able to because of logistics. Might have to be for OV's. Talks to Alford twice a week and has good things to say about that relationship. Will be looking for education, atmosphere, and environment.

Per II's master list. RB was a waste of time, basically everybody they talked about we zero to little chance with. WR, CJ Sanders will visit in May. Transferring to ND Sherman Oaks and academically is a fit. Austin Aaron is a name to watch. UF, USC, and ND showing interest. Could grow into a flex TE.

Cooks will also be in to visit Jaylon Lane, Tyreik Gray, Keke Coutee. Someone from the staff will visit Tillery and while in Louisiana they visit TD Moton in hopes to start this recruitment back up after falling behind recently.

Per Adam Gorney, Cameron Scarlett RB out of Portland OR has been hearing from ND and believes we'll offer soon. Largely believed he's favoring Oregon with Stanford and Cal in the next group an offer could make it interesting.

-I'd expect us to give out a few more RB offers over the next month. Its one position that I think we need to have a deeper talent pool at this stage.

I hope they check in with http://www.irishenvy.com/forums/2015-recruiting-profiles/161605-15-pa-rb-andre-robinson-penn-state-verbal.html. I'm a little salty about this one.

Anna had a little update tonight...

-She agrees with Wiltfong that Ruhland will be the next player to commit.

-Tillery will be getting a visit from the coaching staff this week.

-She also tried to predict pretty much the rest of the class. I won't list everyone, but some of them got my attention- Jaylon Lane, Nick Connor, Ryan Newsome (fingers crossed), Justin Tranquill, and Josh Adams (running back).

-Also, Tim O'Malley thinks this class will have 19 commits

just curious what you like about him?

Sorry that I missed this earlier.

I've mentioned before that I don't think he is a homerun hitter or should be a top priority at the position. But, I do think that he is a really safe guy to grab. I think he has good vision, nice stop and start quickness, makes nice cuts moves in the hole, and behind his pads. I would be very happy with him in a class that featured two running backs.

Other reasons, the kid seems to really like ND and it surprised me that he picked Penn State and I was planning on going to some of his games this season.

2016 not 2015 but...

Introducing Jacob Eason, the nation's top QB for 2016

Other schools that Eason is currently considering for a summer visit or camp stops include Georgia, Washington, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and Notre Dame. The Irish in particular have a special connection.

Eason's father, Tony Eason, played wide receiver for the Irish alongside Tim Brown. Understandably, the younger Eason grew up a Notre Dame fan.

“Actually I did (grow up a Notre Dame fan). He has his old football helmet in the TV room and a couple of pictures. I grew up through middle school with them as my favorite.”

The 6-foot-5, 210 pound Eason doesn't call Notre Dame his favorite anymore but the Irish do possess several of the qualities that he is looking for in finding the right fit for him.

“Coaching staff, the offense and academics are three of them,” he said of the important factors in his future college decision. “The number of quarterbacks in the NFL because I want to go after that. How long the coaches have been there, the facilities and the prestige at that school and the number of wins and that kind of stuff.”

EDIT: Kane made a thread

Thank you all for the updates. Reps and gifts don't really mean anything, but us jabronis appreciate it!

Staff visited Josh Sweat today. On the surface this seems like a waste of time but I like the staff at least trying.

Notre Dame offered USC commit Taeon Mason

Pasadena (Calif.) John Muir cornerback Taeon Mason picked up an offer from Notre Dame this week.

The 6-0, 170-pound prospect is committed to USC and now holds offers from the Trojans, the Irish and Oregon State.

Per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Mason is a three-star defensive back, the No. 311 overall player in the 2015 class, the No. 29 cornerback in the land and the No. 40 prospect in California.
