Don't sleep on Golson. He has potential. Also, Koyack.

Nothing better then dissecting those three minute clips...
I just love how much stock is put into them by some posters. Like you can really tell who is having a great spring and who isn't by watching those videos. I love watching them but I can't understand how people put stock into them.
IMO
McGlinchey should play LT because hes a top 10 talent there
Doesn't want you to put too much stock into practice video.
Puts stock into a guy who hasn't taken a snap as a top-10 talent.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Finally someone else says it. I mean its nice to see the guys running around out there but some posters bank the whole spring by what they see on these videos.
Much more stock put into what the coaches say and what the mods inspect when they are able to watch practice.
but really

Can they trust Zaire?
Will Jarron Jones be interested
Can Ishaq please just come out
Are they waiting on Nyles Morgan
Can Will Fuller become a number 1? Because he honestly reminds me a lot of Odell Beckham
Greg Bryant hype just won't stop even though his body is put together like mine
Are there any leaders on this squad?
Jaylon and Russell captains?
Let the young guys play and start and learn from there mistakes. (Redfield, Bryant, Morgan, Brent, McGlinchey, Watkins) Just to much talent to see guys like Kendall Moore, Austin Collinsworth and Joe Schmidt out there. No disrespect
How long until the rust wears off with Golson. Because honestly has he completed a pass to anyone on this roster besides Chris Brown?
By the way Brian Kelly it's year 5 now and I know you have shown that you can have a dominating offense. So it's time this year and there are no more excuses on why this team can't drop 30 a game.
There are way to many questions but it's good that football is back....almost

I agree. Same with the Spring Game, which means absolutely nothing. Everyone got super excited about GAIII because he had a nice spring game and I kept telling people to stop hyping him up.
I think you can put more stock in the spring game than you're giving credit for, especially on the lines. FWIW, I'm with you on the GAIII over-hyping. I called it fools gold even after the OU game. I still think 'GAIII has turned the corner' should have been nominated 'meme/catch phrase of the year'.
WRs, Dbacks, QBs, I don't think you can put much spring game stock in. OL/DL and LB, even RB I think you can see one on one talent when it's there or not there.
If there is ANY value to the spring game, I think it's with the QB/WR. Could get a glimpse into which guys the QB feels comfortable with. Beyond that, useless.
Don't forget Junior Jabbie.
"Bryant hasn't proven anything yet. "
I'm not going to disagree with you. But bare and mine, preseason Bryant was ahead of Tarean. Greg was the one that played against temple, not Tarean.
That tells me, Kelly saw something in Greg that gives a good feeling he'll be ready to roll for sure this fall.
Huh? Did you, perhaps, mean to say "bear in mind"?
That was mind bottleing.
Truly, for all intensive purposes.
And bigger, faster, stronger Tommy Rees, lol.
you mean "grizzled, i dun time inside, so wuttt?" Tommy Rees

Bare vs. bear
As an adjective, bare means lacking clothing, naked, exposed to view, or lacking adornment. As a verb, it means to make bare, to uncover, or to expose. Its past tense is bared.
Bear has no adjectival definition. When not referring to the large mammal, it is a verb with a variety of meanings, none of which relate to uncovering or exposing. A few of its meanings are to hold, to support, to exhibit, to carry oneself in a specified way, to endure, to give birth to, and to yield (especially fruit). Its past tense is bore (e.g., it bore fruit), and its past participle is borne (e.g., it has borne fruit).
So bear is the correct spelling in the phrasal verbs bear down, bear out, and bear up. It’s also the correct word in the phrases bear down on, bear fruit, bear in mind, and bring to bear and in the common phrases grin and bear it and bear the brunt of. Bare wouldn’t make sense in any of these phrases or expressions.
Truly, for all intensive purposes.
While the phrase, "for all intents and purposes" is often mistakingly said "for all intensive purposes", it's not necessarily an incorrect phrasing of words.
Let's break it down, shall we?
in·ten·sive
/inˈtensiv/
adjective
adjective: intensive1. concentrated on a single area or subject or into a short time; very thorough or vigorous.
"she undertook an intensive Arabic course"
pur·pose
/ˈpərpəs/
noun
noun: purpose; plural noun: purposes1. the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.
"the purpose of the meeting is to appoint a trustee"
synonyms: motive, motivation, grounds, cause, occasion, reason, point, basis, justification More
So if one was speaking about a concentrated effort in creating something, then "for all intensive purposes" would technically not be incorrect.
when did the spring practice thread turn into the grammar thread? lol
when did the spring practice thread turn into the grammar thread? lol
This thread is a cacophony of well meaning fans trying to impress each other with mundane points. (Maybe oppress was the right word.)
There must be a perception that there must be one right answer. And that all of these questions need be asked.
Obviously, all the tape, reports on spring practice, reports beyond the media presentations, eye witness accounts, the spring game, all fit as observables.
And what did Kelly say? Spring like bowl prep is for learning, both for players and coaches.
This year is very interesting with all the position battles shaping up, and the fact that there are a number of players absent, or rusty. Golson needs to acclimate, but with Riggs not yet here, DD out for the spring, and several freshmen coming in that may need to or be able to contribute, what we see this spring may be markedly different than next fall.
And does anyone even believe we get a peak under the hood at BK's offense, or BVG's new defense? That would be a worthy topic of conversation.
Actually, practice hasn't even really started yet, so you're right. At the moment we are just discussing a number of mundane points as we don't even have a glimpse of spring practice yet.
