Thanks Redskins :)

Bridgewater's bowl game performance might have given him some nice momentum for the #1 pick.

Thank god we don't actually get our high draft pick this year, I'd hate to see us get better.

Rams are open to trading down w/ a team desperate for a QB (aka a repeat of RG3 & the Redskins) according to PFT

Let's all wrap our minds around the fact that the Redskins could've had:
-Cousins + Keuchly/Floyd/Blackmon/Kalil/Claiborne (I'm guessing those are the guys they would've looked at with the team needs) + whichever late first in 2013 + Bridgewater/Clowney/Matthews (depending on who is available at #2 and how much they like Cousins)

Instead they got:
-Griffin+Cousins

IMO not worth the #1 pick.

So, do the Bears extend Cutler at the going rate or roll the dice and see what's left at QB for pick #14?

The Cutler dilemma is about as coin flippish as it gets IMO. The fact that a few other teams have already expressed interest will drive up the price and it makes me nervous paying anyone 16 mil a year, but he is a must sign.

The more important issue for the Bears is figuring out a way to make Peppers albatross of a contract go away. 3.5 million dollars a sack is not a very good investment.

You let Cutler go. He has elite arm talent, but he will never win you a super bowl. If he can't win you a super bowl, then you save your money for players that can and try to grab the next guy that can get you there.

I'm not a huge fan, but in his defense, he's had an awful offensive line in Chicago and he's had no coaching stability (four coordinators in five years). He's got weapons on offense now, an above average line and good offensive coach in Trestman. I'd like to see him get another shot.

I'm in the minority where I want him to stay. All the woes this season were due to an old, injured, subpar defense. The table is set on offense (for the first time pretty much ever). I'd hate to see them blow it up.

*McCown's "success" this year was embellished IMO. He played as a serviceable backup, going 3-3 over a pretty favorable slate of teams. I didn't at any time feel during that clip "Wow, this team would be fine without Cutler."

I thought he was fantastic yesterday, such a shame it was wasted. He was dialed in all game, and made some throws only a handful of other guys on the planet could have. That 3rd and 17 drop by Jeffrey was maddening. He went right at a blanketed receiver and hit him in the hands.

Neither really here nor there, but I thought the same thing about Eli Manning. For most of his career it looks like his ceiling is that of an average to below average starting quarterback without the demeanor or leadership ability to take a team to a championship, but here we are now with him somehow having two Super Bowl rings.

Oh god I hope the Bears do that. The Vikings should drop a dump truck full of cash for him. He may be flawed but he's better than 95% of QBs out there and after the Tarvaris Jackson/Gus Frerotte/Brett Favre/Christian Ponder/Matt Cassel/Josh Freeman experiment I'll take him any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I think this draft will get QB crazy fast. Bridgewater #1 then someone falls in love with Carr or Bortles or whoever and takes him second in a trade w/ the Rams and then it goes crazy from there on

Manziel to the Raiders is a lock right? Those two are made for each other. A dysfunctional franchise known for drafting sizzle over steak, or just shitting the bed and drafting gristle.

More importantly than the relative merits of Jay Cutler (who will always be with us), does anyone see a likely first round landing spot for Stephon Tuitt, or do we get to watch him for another 12 Saturdays?

Also: It is amazing the degree the NFL - for all of the hype and endless analysis- can be cloven in two between the teams that have solid quarterbacks and the teams that do not and hope to get one in the draft.

You can have him and enjoy the next 6 years where he plays half a season due to injuries and always lose to GB.

Jay is a good dude, but he wasn't worth the draft picks we gave up for him (not his fault). I do like his fire, but if it takes a "dump truck full of cash" to keep him, have at it.

You dump Cutler, use the money for defense, draft a system QB or sign one, start mccown next season while grooming the other.

Problem solved!

Watch the Browns trade up to #2 (for Josh Gordon) so they can draft Bridgewater, should the Texans go with Clowney.

The #2 pick will get the Rams a lot in whatever trade they make. Not only will teams like Minnesota, Oakland, and Cleveland be trying to trade up for Bortles or Carr or Manziel, but teams like Chicago, Detroit, NYG, and Dallas might be trying to trade up for Clowney. There will be a lot of teams competing for that pick.

Some reports saying a couple teams even love Hundley from UCLA.

This is really an easy decision for the Rams as they need not a QB (Bradford will get one more chance, probably take a QB in the middle rounds) or Clowney (Long and Quinn).

Trade a couple picks down and probably still get Matthews from TAMU
