This is great! I get the rematch of my first ever lacrosse game that I ever saw. Hope for better results this go around though.

I'm pretty sure Duke has eliminated us in 4 of the past 5 postseasons. All of hem very tight games. Only time they didn't I think it was Loyola in the 2012 final four who went on to win it all.

No team has more talent than Duke. No team is better coached for Memorial Day. They're basically Alabama. We're going to have to bring our A game and get some heroic performances like what Kelly did in goal today per the stats I'm seeing.

I thought that our defense and particularly our defensive pass-offs and pick-your-spots double teams were really superior. And our "dancing" [foot movement shadowing] was impressive. I thought the guys were athletically crisp the whole game and in better condition [or maybe more fired up] than Maryland.

I watched most of the game today. The goaltending was awesome and the defense played extremely well. They forced Maryland to commit turnover after turnover. You combine that with Kavanagh playing out of his mind on offense and it was an impressive win by the Irish.

This team is relentless. They came out looking to run and be aggressive. They were quick on their feet and played well all over. They knew they couldn't get the face so they attacked like a pack of wolves. Kelly freakin' played lights out. Corrigan substituted perfectly and kept the energy high all game.
This probably was their best all around game since they laid a whipping on virginia!
This group epitomizes what you want your team to be. They DESERVE this thing!

Kavanagh. He is just lights out right now. This is what I've been hoping for with this kid since last year. Let everything run through him, his ability to create and vision to see doubles coming and finding open looks. Glad to see Corrigan letting him loose more. He is as tough a player as there is in the nation. Love the way he's stepping up. Excellent goaltending and tough, matching feet defense along with a couple of yard sales by the close defense yesterday. ND is a very good team right now, peaking at the perfect time.
Duke is going to be tough to beat, but is definitely beatable. They have so many offensive weapons, Myles is a monster and mismatch at the midfield. Wolf is quick as hell too. I think Keenan had 4 goals stepping in for Dionne. I'm sorry to say this, but I can't help but root for Casey Carrol and Fowler. Both of their dads were NYC firefighters . If you haven't seen the special on CBS news about Casey, please YouTube it.
I am psyched for this matchup, it's going to be wide open, fast paced lacrosse. Lax, I just have a feeling here man! It's going to be a great one, ND wins in OT. 17-16

Haha I'm on a road trip to Canada and was in the car. Just now stopping in Seattle for some food.

Anyways... Duke is a 1.5 goal favorite in Vegas. They have a lot more talent than us, but this team has been playing with giant brass balls lately. Will take an A+ effort to win this game, but anything is possible. There was a much larger talent gap in '10 and we came extremely close to getting that W.

I don't know but I am feeling WAY too confident with this game tomorrow. The Irish are on a run that just seems to be pointing to a championship tomorrow. They are totally playing championship lacrosse. IF they play with the passion they played with yesterday, and Kelly plays like he did yesterday, they have this thing!
We are totally pumped and ready to see these boys win it.

Almost game time.

Wish I shared others' optimism but this game feels to me like the UCONN/ND women's bball game, although I don't see a blowout like that. Just think that Duke is so loaded that it will take a near-perfect game to beat them for the Irish. Absolutely doable, but I'd rather be on the other side of the fence.

But if our goalie can get hot again, the defense can stay tight, and Kavanagh can go off, the game could be ours...
