I am always very surprised and actually disappointed in the amount of faith you guys put in Crist.
He has a cannon.....SO WHAT? He's not accurate at all when it counts, is very tentative, and i really think it comes down to the fact that he just might not be that smart. He just can't make a good read and quick decision out there.
And after watching tommy reese play I don't want to hear about it being his first year in the BK system..because the freshman has had less reps and overall experience than crist but picked up the offense a lot better. He can actually run a quick strike spread and not look like a robot.
Ultimately i think rees is too small and this means we're going with Hendrix..who by all indications is very talented, but once again we'll have to deal with first yr growing pains next season..especially without floyd and rudolph(they would be crazy to comeback) and daniels and atkinson aren't going to step in as big factors only being freshman. But long term this team could be deadly.
I dont really want to hear about Gholson. Never been a big fan of this time of QB..they're quick no doubt..but can never truly throw the ball. Best case is a one in a million denard robinson...but he's not real qb either (pygmie/no accuracy), and won't last next season without major injury.
If you don't want to hear about Golson, then you're going to hate watching ND football because he could very well be the future of our program. The thing is, something tells me you have never read about him nor seen his film, and you think he's a runner and not able to throw b/c he's black and/or they told you he was fast. Golson isn't a runner first...quite the opposite. He runs to avoid trouble and escape the pocket looking to throw; he would much rather pass the ball than run. And on his accuracy, his coach and scouts call him extremely accurate. Dude, just look at his numbers; they're crazy. And look at his film...it's crazy too.
And to say these types of QBs never work out...are you serious? Steve Young laughs at you (oh wait, he's wait, and it's illegal to compare white guys to blacks). So does Vince Young, Michael Vick, Charlie Ward, Steve McNair (college version), Colt McCoy (oops, white guy), etc etc etc.
Just an epic fail there dude.
(oh, and on Crist, go look up the numbers of first year starting QBs all over the board, and then get back to me. You NEVER give up on guys with that much talent this early in their careers. He deserves every chance to compete for a starting spot next year, which he will get. What's so wrong about that?)
