I think we looked good in the short glimpse we get. I am very cautiously optimistic because the DBs as I already stated did not look too hot and yes the WR looked good but is that because the DB's made em look good. Thats my only concern. I think the QB situation will be fine and I think are front 7 are as good as any front 7 in the country!

Our front 7 will make our secondary look decent this year

Has anyone noticed during Brian Kelly interviews that he never says "We still have a lot of work to do" and things of that nature? I only remember him saying that once so far this fall. I think he really likes this years team, we have a chance to be really good

On other subjects. Since it is staff and faculty appreciation day at practice, and NDinLA's wife now works at ND is there any chance the NDinLA was at practice today?

Ha ha...those days are over. I FINALLY got a call for an interview on Wednesday for a sudden opening starting last Friday in the Goshen School District. A bit far for me, plus it's a science gig (and I HATE science), but I went to the interview anyway and nailed it and beat out 9 other interviewees, so once my background check clears in a few days my vacation is over and I'll be a working stiff again.

Besides, like I said in another thread, 3 was enough. Felt really loser-ish by the 3rd one. I'll actually be on campus tomorrow at the perfect time 'cause I have a meeting with a mortgage agent at ND Credit Union at 11:30, but my daughter and I are meeting my wife for lunch afterwards. I could convince my wife to eat in the grass outside the practice complex LOL, but like I said, those days are over.

And I erased the cryptic messages about the bad news. If you're gonna say something that vague, might as well not say it at all. There are rumors out there (there always are), but unless you're willing to put your arse on the line (I'm not on this), then don't get everyone all worked up (I hope I didn;t get anyone worked up LOL)...

outside of eifert, chris brown has been the most impressive receiver by far and it's not even close imo.

The vids of the Freshman, who seem excited and ready to contribute - the length/size of the players that the team is putting on the field-the fact that Kelly and the players seem upbeat-watching Golson deliver strikes from the pocket.... I'm just really liking what I see this summer.

Watching and listening to these interviews reminds me of watching and listening to interviews at Patriots camps. All of these guys have already bought in to the value of putting the team first. Whatever is best for the team is best for them. Well spoken, bright young men that will make the university proud.

Different in the sense that this one caused people to wonder whether people friggin' died or not. Good news is completely different than bad news IMHO. Seriously...we had a poster that was convinced that Ara had died because of the incredibly vague post, and a bunch of other people freaking out without knowing why. And anyway, that was a long time ago...we talked to TP and everything has been squared away. It's only a few posters with lingering grudges that continue to harp on that.
