You're

I think I'll be watching all of them from my boob tube. My best chance to catch a live one is when they come to Cali.

Been to the Notre Dame/Michigan every year for the past 9 seasons. Going again this year and my god will it be crazy up there. Win or lose I'm surely going to have a great ****ing time.

I live about 7 hours away, but two years ago I went to ND v. Navy for the first time, then last year ND vs. Michigan (both losses). I'm going to try to be self-less and not attend a game this year for fear that I'll continue to jynx them.

I just bought my plane ticket to go to Chicago with the intention of seeing the USC game. This will be my first trip to South Bend and I am so unbelievably excited. I've seen ND play USC at the Colliseum a few times and I caught the game vs UCLA at the Rose Bowl a few years ago.

Does anyone know a good place to get game tickets for the USC game??? I know the usual online ticket agencies (Stub Hub, Ebay, etc), but am looking for some local knowledge for affordable tickets.

Also, just FYI for anyone living near Los Angeles that is planning on attending the USC game, I just found round trip non stop tickets from LAX to Chicago leaving October 20th and returning October 23rd for $218 on Virgin America. I booked them a few days ago, but I assume the deal is still there. Unbelievable price for round trip tickets!

Going to the USC game, and probably another one depending on how the season goes.

We've discussed this in earlier threads, but we really need to find a place to congregate before the USC game.

SportAllyr, good luck. StubHub is WAY overpriced. Last I saw tickets were going for $380 minimum.

You serious? That is awesome! I may be stealing that idea in the future, gracias mi amigo

Haha.. No prob buddy.. We've been to Vegas a few times and Montreal.. So they figured a night game against USC in the Bend would be pretty epic. Gives us a long day for tailgating too.

I've been looking forward to this game for soooooo long, and I was supposed to be there!!!

My wife and I were all set to go, but then in late January we found out that she is pregnant with our first child, and the due date is Oct. 12th. So obviously, there goes that.

But since my wife won't be able to fly, we just bought plane tix this morning for a buddy and I to go to the opener vs. South Florida. It'll be his 2nd time in SB (he was there for my wedding 2 Augusts ago), but his first game. I wanted to go to MSU but that would have been cutting it too close to the birth, so USF it is. Can't wait!

I don't know if I'll go to USF but I will definitely want to go to Navy and probably Michigan State. Boston College will probably interfere with basketball season and Air Force is just a game that does not peak my interest. Things can change but USC, MSU, and Navy seem like the most likely options for me right now. Things like school and work can change plans though.

I don't know if you are willing to take this risk, but I know when I went to a few big games, even a few opening day games (which I would think is the most anticipated) but I was able to just walk around while tailgating and seen quite a few people just sitting around selling tickets, if you need alot this probably is not the route to choose but if you only need 1-4 it is a good risk, but it is still a risk. I have always bought them for face value too, sometimes lower if they need to get rid of them.

Be careful... it all depends on how the team is doing. My dad and his buds went to the Bush Push game and unloaded an extra ticket for $2000. I wouldn't expect any of the first three games or so but if we're 3-0 after USF, Michigan and Michigan State expect it to be VERY hard to find tickets for the remaining home games against USC, Navy and BC. I'm guessing Air Force will be manageable.

As for what games I'm going to I'm not sure yet. I'm expecting to be at the USC and Maryland games for sure and will be attempting to go to as many of USF, MSU, Navy, BC and Stanford as I can.

I know it is a risk that most are not willing to take, but there are ALWAYS tickets on gameday at the ticket box. The alumni ticket exchange program is an awesome way to get tixkets as well. You just have to be willing to get there at 6AM and wait it out until the ticket box opens. They will have some tickets, but when theyre out youre out of luck. I have never been to a game where this did not work for me. I have always got a ticket when Ive needed one on game day (and I've been to some big time games). Good luck though man

true I remember going to the Tennesse game in 2001 I believe, and Tennesse was 5-1 and Notre Dame was 3-4 and my brother and I had to buy tickets for a 100 a piece, which at the time I believe regular tickets were 36 dollars, but my memory might be fading. So that is true that some people sell tickets way overboard, but those same guys had the tickets at 200 a piece and couldn't sell them but we found them about 5 mins until game time and they went down. We happened to be in the middle of a sea of orange but I was at the game.

I was able to move to any open seat though considering I know a few Ushers and the guys with the funny looking hats, not sure what they would be called. I know Cappy to an extent also, if anyone knows who that is.

But anyways, I agree going the tailgate route is very risky considering which game you go to.

Congratulations and best of luck!

Another Diaper Domer! And one of the Pampers™ variety, not the Depends™ variety.

You and your buddy enjoy the game. Make a point of calling your wife regularly to check on her and the baby, as well as to have her send major cellular mojo to the Irish.

I'm going to the Michigan State game. Flight is already booked..now just have to wait for tickets to go on sale. Usually I just get them off craigslist.

Congrats man! My wife is due Oct 3rd with our second. We should have planned better like JadeBrecks so the babies wouldn't be born during football season.
