I don't buy it - too lazy to look for myself, however, I don't believe until last year (did we last year) that we ever played a 7 homegame schedule. And, would even contest that we played a 4 year away schedule??? Show us.
Now - if we played a 4 away game schedule in an 8 or 9 game total schedule - then blow me - why would you even bring it up? But show some schedules and show your point, which was what?
No matter where I look (back thru '95) I see no more than 6 home games - and less in the "old" days. If you are counting Navy -well, that's lame... "Navy Stadium"??? THEY prefer to play in Baltimore - Meadowlands - it's their home game and $$$$$$.
Hard to tell which is worse your self expressed sloth, your inability to read, or your claims of attending all those ND home games. If you can stop fellating yourself for a moment and can bring yourself to scroll down a couple of posts, check my original post about past schedules and
note the last line in BOLD (was it too hard to see? I'll make it larger for you.):
I wonder how many people realize that in 1988 ND only played 3 games on the road, MSU, PIT, and USC. Another NC year.
Here are the
1988 HOME Game Opponents:
1) Michigan
2) Purdue
3) Stanford
4) Miami
5) Air Force
6) Rice
7) Penn State
... and there was a Neutral game against Navy in Memorial Stadium in Baltimore.
Did you miss that entire season in a coma, Jef?
That's
Seven (7) Home Games,
Three (3) Away Games, and One (1) Neutral Game in an 11 Game Season. Q.E.D.
Did you miss the Ara's 68 season as well? In a 9 game game season that year, ND only played 3 "real" away games plus a neutral game against Navy.
Rockne only played 3 "real" away games in 1924, as noted previously. He played 2 Neutral games, of course one was in the friendly confines of Soldier Field while the other was in the Polo Grounds - both "Subway" Games.
You don't want to contest "4 year away" schedules. It runs throughout ND's history. The 3 game schedules are more significant.
Why bring up 4 away games in a 9 game schedule? Actually I brought 3 up a 9 game schedule 1924 and 3 in an 11 game schedule. Is the math too difficult too grasp?

The point of my previous post?
It was expressed at the very top of that post. Despite all the whining over the 7-4-1 model ND has frequently played few "real" away games. Even in 1929 when ND Stadium was being built and ND had no home field only 4 games were "away".
Before you respond you may want to whip the spunk off your chin.
