Visiting on April 14th per his 247 timeline

3.6 GPA

Same HS as Jafar Armstrong and Colin Grunhard.

Took over as Miege's #1 threat after Jafar and put up:

54 rec ... 1270 yd ... 23.5 ypc ... 16 TD in 13 G for the KS State Champs.

His QB was 2x KS POTY Carter Putz who will be at ND this fall for baseball (and maybe PWO QB???)

Opening Houston results:

40: 4.62
Sht: 4.24
Vrt: 38"
PB: 40'

Total: 111.87

4th highest score at the event

Notre Dame CB from Clint Brewster. WR receiver recruiting for next year is off to a great start.

247 put "Named ND Leader" on his timeline and gave the Irish the red favorite. The '20 WR board is loaded with interested, high tier talent.

I knew I was forgetting another name, good pull. If we only go for 2 in the 19' class, I wonder if we'll go above 3 in the 20' class.

Both Henning and Scott retweeted Drew Pyne's commitment to ND. That's got to be a good sign.

https://247sports.com/college/notre...-WR-plans-return-trip-to-Notre-Dame-118826969

After notching 54 receptions for 1,270 yards and 16 touchdowns receiving in his state championship sophomore season at Bishop Miege, Jackson turned heads at The Opening Regional in Houston a few months later.

Checking in at 5-foot-11, 178-pounds, the Top 250 prospectposted a 111.87 SPARQ score with a 4.62-sec. 40, a 4.26 shuttle drill, a 38-inch vertical jump, and 40-foot power ball throw.

These numbers topped many four-star 2019 wide receivers. With two years of high school ball ahead, Jackson has a bright future in front of him.

Six weeks following his impressive Nike camp performance, Jackson visited Notre Dame where his cousin Jafar Armstrong will enter his sophomore season this fall. Leaving with an offer, plans for a return trip were put in motion.

“Right now, I’d definitely say they’re in the Top 2, if not in the No. 1 spot,” Jackson said. “With them recruiting me, I’ve been up there and have a good relationship with all the coaches there. I’m going up there again on September 1.”

Recently, Jackson spent time with Armstrong and the two discussed the Irish.

Growing up playing football together as tight-knit cousins, the soon-to-be Notre Dame sophomore’s advice goes a long way with Jackson.

“We grew up always going to our grandma’s house in the summer and on weekends,” Jackson said. “With all our other cousins, we played football and baseball and whatever. Once we got older, me and my brother and Jafar started working out at local high schools. Once we got into high school, we started working out together all the time. This weekend, I saw him at a graduation party in Dallas.

“As for what he told me about Notre Dame, he said loves it there. The competition is really good, and he told me the academics and how they’re hard but being an athlete, he gets a lot of help. He enjoys the people there.”

Undoubtedly, Jackson will see his offer list grow substantially in the coming years. Regardless, Notre Dame’s early offer could prove to be a wise choice by the coaching staff.

“As I pick up more offers, I’ll always keep Notre Dame in mind,” Jackson said. “It was one of my first offers, so when it comes down to it, I’ll definitely be considering them.

“Coach Alexander has been talking about how he pushes his guys. I like being pushed. I like being the best that I can to get to the next level. He seems like he can get you there as a coach.”

The Irish have attracted attention from multiple Top 100 sophomore wide receivers. However, with Jackson proving it on the field, on the stat line, and on the stop watch as a sophomore, his potential shouldn’t be overlooked.

Loy gave him a CB this morning.

That was the first ND analyst to do so.

I think he and Cody Simon are tied for biggest locks in '20.

Yeah I agree. next I would say is Rylie Mills.

I think he'll milk the process and flirt with that offer list for a lot longer than I'd like:

Bama
Clemson
UGA
Mich
OSU
OU
PSU

That's a lot of visits he'll have to go on.

I do think he ends up at ND but he has options the others don't have to explore.

I keep finding different pictures for this guy and he seems to be older, white, and formerly part of a super secret government operation.

Daniel Jackson's out of the game with an undisclosed injury.

2020 Miege RB Brison Cobbins is going to Nebraska this weekend. Wish he was joining Jackson.

2021 Miege WR Phillipe Wesley looking good too. Already has an ASU offer and balled out during camp season.
