This is the RB/APB I think ND should go after along with Bijan Robinson and Elijah Burris.

He ran a 10.31 100m to win the Illinois State Championship last spring. Has run a 20.88 200m. Compare them to Lenzy or Henning.

Lives 120 miles away in suburban Chicago, has good offers and watch the second play to see what a difference maker looks like with the ball in his hands.

Yes... he's small. But he's bigger than Tarik Cohen and he's doing ok in Chicago.

Why has he not been offered? I'm going to assume because of size.

Seems very similar of a player to this freshman at Purdue with the same last name.

I assume it's because he's fairly similar to Tyree and Henning. With that said, I'd offer Moore and take him tomorrow. I've posted this before but Oregon ran all over college football with 2 RB's below 200 lbs.

Okay, okay.

I love Pulp Fiction. Jules used to be my avatar. But perhaps we should chill with the quotes on the first page of Marcellus Moore's profile.

Otherwise...

Good call Beau. Can we resume the PF quotes on the 2nd page? ;)

And I'd love to add him to our roster, lots o speed.

Pretty small. Maybe a return guy. I'd like to see highlights similar to McKenzie's before making him a want.

Screw all the too small and that. Too fast to pass on is the key here.

Load up on elite speed. Moore and Tyree are elite anywhere speed. To put this in perspective, Moore beats Lenzy by 10 meters in the 200. Moore has run faster as a HS sophomore in the 100m and 200m than Troy Pride has ever run... by a whole .2 seconds.

This is the kind of speed you don't question. Go look at Tarik Cohen's bio. Guys a lot smaller than Moore are doing it every day in the NFL.

Speed kills. Absolute speed kills absolutely.

I get the speed thing, but it needs to be translated to the field. Not everyone can do that. I'm not seeing the same highlights that I did for MaKenzie. TBH, I haven't seen Moores. At that size he needs to be very elusive along with being fast. Moore and McKenzie both showed to be elusive then turned on the speed. That's all I'm saying about this youngster.

? You haven't seen Moore's highlights but don't see the same as McKenzie's?

I see a bunch of long TD runs where the defense took good angles and he still beat them to the point. It's hard to tell but he's turning a foot of space into a break away TD.

I'd happily sign him. Would love to use him in the return game and as an RB.

I realize I’m in a minority here. Not questioning his speed. He has it. I have a concern about him holding up due to his size. R Moore and McKenzie also have the “jitterbug” gene that allows them to make people miss when they are in position to tackle and they can change directions in the blink of an eye.

IMO Marcellus is better suited for the return game or used as a change of pace RB where he doesn’t have to carry the load.

With a few positions being under consideration for adding extra players like 3 or 4 OL, 3 or 4 WR’s, a 2nd RB, etc. I’d be fine with Moore taking the place of one of those.

Yes, add him and Tyree and you might have the two fastest players in the cycle.

5’7”, 150? He might be fast but he’s going to get broken in half against real competition.

Eh, I don't know about that. Definitely won't be a high usage player but Deanthony Thomas was 5'9 160 out of HS (measured in a 5'9 174 at combine). Over 3 seasons he had 356 plays from scrimmage or 118/season. Which was good for 9.62/game. Wouldn't expect more than that but I wouldn't think this means he can't be a similar type of player. Plus, he has another year of HS to add some weight/size. And, he could add another years 2 years to his collegiate development, as Thomas left after his Junior season.

Brohm's stocking speed on top of speed on top of elite talent.

Landed Marcellus Moore today. Rondale, David Bell, Milton Wright, Collin Sullivan & Moore? If you handicap that like golf, he's recruiting with the best of the best.

Oh, almost forgot, added Tirek Murphy for the Thunder to pair with all the lightning.

I love Elston and Lea but Brohm knows how to recruit in today's game. I'll let the row the boater's dream of their Tony Robbins of CFB while I take this good Catholic boy everyday of the week and every Mass on Sunday.
