On campus.

I'm expecting a commitment, why not. ND always gets their QB of the future early.

And his dad is a marketing professional... No better way to market yourself in the world of college recruiting than to commit to ND as a QB.

I'm not really sure if I'm kidding or not.

In an ISD interview he said he grew up watching/cheering for Coach Rees. How great would that be to get recruited by the former QB of your favorite team. Pretty neat for this young man.

It's official, committed to ND.

Welcome Drew. Really nice pickup to kick off 20' recruiting.

NDCrusader predicted he'd commit this weekend, I'm not sure what thread it's in.

Edit: it was this thread, haha. Jelly Beans.

Props to 'Cruse!

Calling KaneYouFeelIt, Calling KaneYouFeelIt!

Gotta start using the '20 tea leave over in the '19 threads.

BOOM!

I usually go Size=7 on my BOOM!'s but Drew's not tall enough to warrant a 7, he gets a 5 and that's stretching it.

Glad to have him aboard and I'll bet it all he goes full term like Phil... The only team that would worry me is Brown and he lives with that school's biggest bag man and he couldn't get it done.

Now offer and sign Hank Bachmeier, Gunner Cruz or Connor Bazelak for '19 so we can get back to worrying about DE.

I like his ratings and offers. Anyone seen his film? I'm excited to give it a look sometime today.

Has the 2nd most DI offers behind Harrison Bailey of GA.

Freshman stats:

13 G ... 166/259 ... 2347 yds ... 64% ... 26 TD ... 11 Int ... 87 car ... 430 yds ... 3 TD

So he has quite the family.

His grandfather GPII and great grandfather, GPI both played in the NFL, as did his uncle Jim Pyne, all for the Patriots. His Dad played at Brown and is the former President of IMG and the COO of NASCAR. His brother played at IMG and is now at Brown. He's first cousins with future ND OT offer '20's Kevin Pyne. His grandfather on his mom's side was longtime PGA tour pro, Paul Harney. His HC, Lou Marinelli also coached Conor Hanratty and New Canaan was also the home of former ND All American, Academic All American and Nat'l Champ, Pete Demmerle. Drew's QB coach is David Morris who was Paxton Lynch's QB coach when Chip Long was Lynch's OC at Memphis.

Sign this kid, let brother transfer in and let Pops negotiate ND's new deal with ABC/ESPN and Nike.

.

Bumping this post because this video from Rivals is a good watch. He's very polished for being so young. Reminds me of JT Daniels in that regard. Very quick release, which is great for an RPO offense like Long wants to run. Does have 22 interceptions in 2 years (freshman/Sophomore) but he's young and some of that probably stems from that. However, when you watch his highlight video, he makes some really incredible throws. Exceptional ball placement on some difficult throws. Good anticipation.

What are the odds he eventually decommits like every other "early" QB we've gotten in the Kelly era?

PJ committed 20 months before signing and four months before a 4-8 season. Probably helped that he was a fan growing up, as Drew clearly was too

You had Cade just this cycle then Barnett (if he was considered early idk). So just two over his 9 seasons.
