Jeez guys. Wish Drew Pyne well.

There's a palpable fear running through this.
Weather: Cloudy with oncoming Depression?
If Buchner turns out not to be Patrick Mahomes, are we on suicide watch?
What if he is "only" Deshone Kizer? What if not quite that (at least this year)?

No fear here lol, just looking at objective reality based on every single report out of spring.

Holy crap! Pyne is terrible! Worse BG performance that Phil Jerk! Just plain awful. Lack of arm strength on passes over 20 yards is clearly evident. His screen passes are terrible. This is how bad he is knowing he won’t get smacked. The good news is he played better against Cincy (and that was that good). Could you imagine the beat down if TB were QB1 for the Blue squad? Maybe our D is totally legit this year? We can only hope so. We will need a great ground game this year. Heaven help us if we need Pyne for more than one quarter. TB can afford to be buddy buddy with Pyne because he is literally zero threat to be QB1 if TB is healthy.

I think both things are true here. Pyne is clearly not the guy, and the defense is also very good.

Drew Pyne is listed as 5'11" that's a stretch. Can't see over the line, doesn't have good arm strength, stares a hole through the receiver that he's going to throw the ball. Short QBs have a really hard time between the hashes. Those aren't 4 star traits. It's not coaching. It's ability and not having favorable genes. He is what he is.

For me, guys 5-11 and under have to prove they are 4* guys in college.

I just can't say you're a 4* or higher prospect unless you're clearly a Bryce Young or Kyler Murray clone.

I will say he has some nads to shave his baby belly with his pale white baby fat and wear a Johnny Musso daisy Duke cut off shirt. That was made even more ridiculous by how shitty he played. With the knowledge of not being blitzed or getting hit he stinks it up that badly. Freeman needs to announce Buchner as the #1 prior to spring so Oyne can enter the portal and go play for a DII school. This would make a less embarrassing move of Angeli to #2. He was clearly better out there than Pyne. Powlus is not a threat to play ever (I hope).
Hoped Pyne would have made a more respectable showing. Still can’t get past that exposed belly nonsense. SMH

Pyne will be ready if his number is called. He was prepared last year. His number will be called this year
