Wow!

What a difference a year makes.

Last year he was a tall DL that was not yet an ND prospect. This year, he's a nasty LT who likes hurting people. This one snuck up on me. Good work by Coach Quinn. Dude loves him some 6-7 OT's with upside and attitude. OLine U is gonna stockpile talent in the '19-'21 classes like never before.

***He also had a fine year on the D-side of the ball:

14 G ... 63 Tkl ... 13.5 TFL ... 5 Sks ... 1 Int ... 3 PBU ... 2 FF

Definitely a mauler. Very athletic kid for his size. Plays pretty good DL too. I think he would make a great RT right now. He may need some polish to be a LT though. He has the athleticism for it he just has to clean up some things. I like Tosh Baker at LT though.

His quotes just weren't as excitable as most that visit and that's going to happen from time to time. Some guys just won't be fits at ND or like what ND is all about. That's why schools like Oregon exist, lol.

So I wanted to know how this OL board looked. Just to take a swing at a 3 man class, I thought something like this...

Top Guys
1) Tosh Baker
2) Jimmy Christ
3) Zak Zinter

Recent Visitors
1) Reece Atteberry
2) Roger Rosengarten
3) Peter Skoronski

Longshots/Best of the Rest
1) Paris Johnson Jr. - flip candidate, probably never happens but worth a shot
2) Turner Corcoran
3) Andrew Raym
4) Geirean Hatchett
5) Jake Wray

Anybody know any other looks? I wonder if Andrew Gentry is a 2020 recruit or if the staff acknowledges he’s gonna be a mission trip guy. I don’t really see too many realistic options outside of the top 3 guys and Atteberry with Skoronski. Curious if any of those longshot dudes are going to do any OV’s to ND. Obviously not going to be a big class but I’d love to get Zinter on board soon (looked like he loved his Penn St visit tho). Jimmy Christ is one of the most offered prospects at any position in the entire 2020 class (39 offers so far!!). Doesn’t look like a lot of fall back options for Quinn to pull from but I don’t doubt his recruiting prowess and ND looks good for their top 3 dudes if they are their top 3.

From the looks of it the staff must feel very good about the prospects for Christ and Baker. I am thinking they may like Atteberry better than Rosengarten too. Baker is visiting this weekend I believe.

It’s in the link that you posted. Read the comments.

On top of that, the quotes in the actual article just aren't that glowing. "I can see myself fitting in with them and any other offensive line group." oh, okay dude. Then complaining that he didn't get to meet Brian Kelly because he was called away on important business. Then when asked about a return trip, "I don't know yet."

But yeah, in the comments Prister all but says he was ill-behaved during the visit.

Assuming Rosengarten is out and this class is at least 4

Top Guys
Tosh Baker
Jimmy Christ
* Andrew Gentry - doesn't count until 2022
2 of Atteberry / Zinter / Skoronski

Again, if the Rosengarten rumors are true and Atteberry follows the CB's to OSU. Best case scenario right now is:

OT's = Baker / Christ / Gentry in '22
Swing = Zinter
OG/C = Skoronski

Looooooongshots
1) Paris Johnson Jr.
2) Turner Corcoran
3) Andrew Raym
4) Geirean Hatchett
5) Jake Wray

Next guys in?
Noah Nelson
Levi Rogers
Jonah Monheim
Jeff Persi

Guys ND could go from 0-100 with a phone call
Chris Mayo
Tate Johnson
Drake Metcalf

Possibilities?
Dylan Barrett (Wisconsin)
Eli Acker (Ole Miss)
Jacob Lugg (???)
Josh Fryar
Josh Priebe
Josh Braun

I will die on the Dylan Barrett hill all day. Also Carmody and John Young. Tate Johnson look great at the opening too.
