Yeah I was a bit surprised by a reversal here. Just this past weekend, ISD seemed to be very optimistic about Zeke

I know Wiltfong has stated he is using the CB to signify who is leading at the moment, but he usually won't flip a CB unless he has something pretty concrete. I guess it just kind of surprises me that he would flip the CB if he is visiting Clemson in the coming days.

Not sure exactly how Clemson does their visit process but it seems to be amazing this year. Every recruit that I've paid attention to has been in awe this year when they visit.

Especially given ND’s recent track record of sustaining momentum after a recruit visits elsewhere. I swear it feels like we’ve been getting neg recruited like a MFer recently, it seems like everyone but our top O-line recruits are trending away right now.

That's certainly not the case.

It seems like he thinks Zeke has 2 tiers of teams right now. ND is in the first tier and Clemson in the second.

I am well aware that you believe recruiting is going splendidly this cycle. Beyond OL and DT, however, I’ve seen very little evidence recently that that’s the case.

And as I explained in another thread, that's a YOU issue. I've already tried to explain it to you, but you don't care to pay attention.

From looking at some pOSU message boards and various articles (all dated prior to Wiltfong's CB), it seems like Correll is currently not a take at pOSU. They are recruiting Correll as a Center and will likely gain the committment of Harry Miller instead.

Many from pOSU view both of their current OL commitments as Guards in college and thus the reason the Buckeyes are only recruiting Correll as a Center.

And this is exactly why, as NDCrusader said, you recruit the Ohio kids really hard. Zach Harrison, Jowon Briggs, Cade Stover, Zeke Correll, Rodas Johnson, and Noah Potter. Not all of them are going to end up at Ohio State because of their out of state recruiting prowess. A lot of them are really, really good recruits though. Hopefully Correll is the first of many to jump to ND.

OSU is putting together a well planned OL class. I'm not sure how many they can take but they seem to be in a good place for:

LT = Darnell Wright. As a soph, he was in my Top 3 with Quinn & Olmstead.

RT/OG = Trevor Keegan. Wiltfong and Ramos CB'd him to OSU, the last two posted

OG/RT = Doug Nester (Committed). One of my favorite OG prospects for ND this cycle

OG/RT = Ryan Jacoby (Committed). A safe get until it costs you a Correll or Keegan.

1 of these 3:

1. OC/OG = Harry Miller. Best all around lineman this cycle. Hainsey w/ 20+ lbs. 1st choice inside

2. OC/OG = Zeke Correll. Amazing that he could get squeezed by OSU. Sounds as if Jacoby took what ended up his spot with OSU as long as they are chasing Miller (which they have to do) Great for ND, he's the best pure Interior Lineman prospect for ND this cycle based on resume. The only thing he's missing is attending a Catholic school instead of Anderson.

3. OG/OC = Will Putnam. Our OLD friend. BK started following him again for the same reason he's at #3 for OSU. He's a back up plan. End up at Miami me thinks.

OSU also has good fall back prospects in Ohio if their board falls apart (and ND's so pay attention) For OSU, 6-6/315 OT Johnathan Allen will sign with them in a heartbeat if they offer. He has MSU/Wis offs.

If you'd have told me one year ago that Moeller's Zach Carpenter would be on the outside looking in for both OSU and ND, I'd have told you to put down the pipe. Duke/NW/Van/VA offs but his biggest offs are UCLA/Ore. The kinda guy MSU lives for.
If interior line recruiting doesn't go as planned w/ the current targets for ND, this is a name that could go from 0-60 in an instant. Literally the perfect ND prospect.

The last guy to mention is a late riser that Bill Greene turned me onto. JD Duplain is an undervalued 3* OG propect / wrecking machine. He's so nasty it's borderline criminal. If he were 6-6, I'd be talking about him instead of Quinn/Olmstead/Kristofic. He didn't get his Jr film out until a month ago. He's gonna continue to blow up into the higher tier P5's next. Best of all, he's from Strongsville and it shows.

Ohio State is supposed to be down to 11 scholarship OLineman after 4 seniors depart. Also, they have 5 draft eligible RS SO & Juniors who could leave (not saying they will at all, but a few are prospects). Point is, I think they are looking for a full 5 man class which would mean it would be surprising for them to pass on Correll, but OSU's loss is ND's gain sometimes.

It wouldn't be surprising if they get Miller. If they took Correll, Miller, Nester and Jacoby, they would have 4 guys that they view as interior linemen. That would leave 1 Tackle spot left to fill a 5 man class. Don't think that they would do that.

Yeah, I can't see OSU going 4 IL's unless they think Jacoby or Nester can play RT? I don't think Nester has the feet and Jacoby doesn't have the skill at his length. IMO. Miller could play it but OSU is making a smart play going after him at OC. 3 year starter/Captain and a good recruiter for GA QB's every cycle.

If they go 5, a 6-6+ OT is going to be in this class alongside Wright.

Freebie from 247
https://247sports.com/college/notre-dame/Article/Notre-Dame-to-see-another-top-target-on-Thursday-117706266

According to Cincinnati (Ohio) Anderson four-star offensive guard Zeke Correll, Notre Dame offensive line coach Jeff Quinn will be at his school later today, Thursday, to check in with him.

Notre Dame remains a top contender for Correll's services along with Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Penn State and Stanford.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball is heavily in favor of the in-state Buckeyes, but my pick remains on the Fighting Irish and has been that way since Oct 31, 2017. In addition, 247Sports National Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong joined me recently and picked Notre Dame as well on Apr. 10.

So, what's next for Correll? Trips to Stanford, Ohio State and Notre Dame are all expected over the next month or so, with a decision potentially coming after that round of visits.

Per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, the 6-4, 270-pounder is listed as the No. 164 overall player nationally, No. 9 offensive guard in the country and No. 5 prospect in Ohio from the 2019 class.

According to 247Sports standalone rankings, he's the No. 123 overall player, No. 5 offensive guard nationally and No. 4 recruit in Ohio this cycle.

I think Allen Trieu flipped his CB to ND.

If so...

Wait until he visits Stanford.

Nah. He's a Cincy kid, a double UK legacy w/ a brother in ND Law, Stanford means nothing to him and the whole tribe can make the easy 4 hour trek to the Bend on weekends. OSU is the only other player and as long a ND's only taking one pure IL (osu has 1-2 already committed w/ Harry Miller and others on the way at OC/G), ND just makes more sense.

At least that's my story, to be continued...

In other tremendous news, Andrew Ellis, OSU Insider, just posted an ND CB for Zeke. This recruiting thing keeps getting better and better!

I see it as ND. Likely you all know this, but if you click on "show prediction time line," even if a prediction is hidden (VIP Unlock), the timeline generally tells you which direction recent predictions went.

Even at... OSU 67% v. ND 33%

w/ Wiltfong, Trieu & the first Buckeye flip (Loy is the 4th) = ND's to lose.
