Cool, and I agree, I never said he had to commit to ND or that he has to stay committed. I just said that if he's going to do this, I'd treat him as if he's uncommitted. Somehow, that is very troublesome for you.
At this point, we should certainly be doing that. Or at least preparing to do it post Spring Game. Maybe wait and see how that visit goes.
I specifically gave some of these examples already and now you are proving my point for me. This is vastly different than how those other recruits handle their respective situation, and that is the point. You don't need to run around and tell the media how great other programs are and what percent committed you are, IF, you are committed to ND. Again, this is precisely why ND has their recruiting policy. If you do this, we treat you as uncommitted, and that's fine. Just like it's fine if Cade wants to do this, we'll react accordingly. Nobody is upset here. Just stating the HUGE differences in the handling of these situations.
Just like A LOT of interviewers asked Jayson A, Derrik Allen, etc. and they didn't give the same responses. Again, that's the point.
He seems like a great kid, NEVER said he wasn't. There are A LOT of great kids out there. But that has nothing to do with this. ND isn't recruiting every swell kid out there. ND doesn't need their QB commit talking up other programs to the media and announcing what percent, below 100, that he is. If you like the player that much, recruit the heck out of him, but make sure you are recruiting other players, and make that well known as well.
It's more than those two quotes but I'm not going to go into that. I'm out on this. Cheers.
