I've now seen Lemming say that he will play tackle and Driskell say that he will play guard.

He gave one of the best interviews a recruit could ever do. He committed to the University of Notre Dame. He specifically said, he didn’t commit to a coach but to a school/program that fit what he wanted.

He gave examples of moments that should make us realize, to some, this is greater than football. To those that have been lucky enough to experience it. You probably know what he meant.

That was a great game. So far very entertaining series even though a lot of the "expert" were calling for a Cavs sweep. So far an 18pt road win by the Pacers and a comeback from 17pts down. The refs really sucked last night.

And very awesome pick up for the OL!!! Would love for another stud OL to pop soon.

Quite a few in the recruiting community thought he was overrated coming out of HS and that he may have peaked as a Junior. I think those same people don't believe, as a Freshman at ND, he did anything to quell their concerns.

Notre Dame is Loaded at OLine personnel. Almost anyone could have a random comment about never starting thrown at them. We mis-remember that only five play, and they play 100% barring injury. And they play "forever" in their eligible careers. We have some really high quality guys BEHIND what is one of college football's best OLines already.

Having said that, I find it inappropriate (unless one had unusual insider info) to call any particular one of those "other" guys out as never going to be a factor. Let's watch the Big Boys compete and monsters will evolve.

Another interesting comment that O'Malley made was that Quinn has put himself in a position (over the OL classes of 19-21') where he has to hit on all of them. Unsure how he concludes that. If you recruit 10 OL over 3 cycles you need to hit on all of them to be successful? Either his math isn't very good or he doesn't understand that only 5 play at a time and mostly we're dealing with a 6-7 man rotation. When the 21' cycle shows up on campus next summer, there will be:

2 OL with 1 year of eligibility
3 OL with 2
4 OL with 3
2 OL have 4
4 OL have 5.

**Didn't include Hunter Spears because I think and have read that he might've just been a Spring 2020 OG to help with numbers but his long term is at DT**

12/15 of the 2020 roster are 4* recruits or higher. All top 9, according to Tim O'Malley are 4* recruits or higher. Both analysts agreed that any OLine coach in the country would take ND's top 9. So from a sheer talent perspective, they've got probably the most talented or tied at the top for being the most talented line in the country. The pressure is on Jeff Quinn for them to perform in 2020 cause there's no excuses.

However, I disagree strongly with the notion that Quinn backed himself into a corner with recruiting and that he'll have to hit on almost all of his guys. That just doesn't make sense. Does Cole Mabry not exist? John Dirksen sucks? John Olmstead and his 36 offers (Ohio State, Penn State, LSU included) are never going to make an impact? What about Carroll, Correll or Kristofic from that heralded 2018 class? Pat Coogan is already never gonna make an impact even though he's never set foot on campus? Blake Fisher isn't a high 4* guard? I understand the frustration at an underwhelming OLine class in 2021 compared to expectations at the beginning of the year, but to say the interior line isn't going to have any depth or they'll be needing to hit on guys is hogwash. I think Prister is right in the importance of Spindler as a recruit and the need to get to 4 recruits ideally in this class. BUT, I don't think this OLine is in dire need of numbers or talent. 2021 right now stands at 10 4*+ recruits on the roster and I'm hoping Spindler can make it 11/15 for the 2021 season. There are many other areas of the roster that are concerning and I don't think OLine recruiting is one of them. If after 2020, Jeff Quinn hasn't convinced as an OLine coach then they'll find somebody else but his recruiting hasn't been subpar in my opinion.

I really hope Quinn Carroll recovers fully and Tosh is ready to go after a year (Ronnie Stanley style) because a starting five of Lugg, Banks, Patterson, Carroll, and Baker could be fantastic.
